The whole point of my technique is to step backwards while faking the double jab. at the same time gather momentum from the waist for a devastating left hook to the head 🥊🤝

About your "The Perfect Cross". I would recommend that instead of twisting your right foot, move your left a little to the left. That leaves a straight line of power from the floor to the glove when you hit. So, if you do a strait left, and then a right cross, you move your left foot twice in a row. First a small step forward as normal, then a small step to the left for the right cross. This was taught to me by my father who was a professional boxer named Laurits Jensen.

Hey Tony the Champion. That quiz when you showed us the right cross to the body - and asked what 5 things boxer need to consider --- Is very valuable because of the small game hint, it's always easier to learn smth by games. As like the wolf cubs, for example, in the childhood they play with each other, bite a bit and chase, and that is the preparation for their mature life - all those small game aplies in the bulig hunt in their life later on . So yeah, just telling what i've seen. And i got 4/5 of that quiz answered

Right, so I’ve just started sparring. Having a lot of trouble getting in range with taller fighters. Can I have the Tony Jeffries approach? Great videos too 👏
@_penguin_9946
@_penguin_9946 Ай бұрын
1. Double/triple jabs, slip jabs, jabs to the body are your best friend. Don’t neglect your jab even against a tall person. 2. You don’t always need to swarm and pressure forward against a tall fighter. You can have success going on the back foot and leading them into your range. Naturally in a fight they will be wanting to win the fight too so they will most likely try to close the distance and you can lead them into a punch. (For example when Gervonta Davis faced Rolly Romero who was 3+ inches taller) 3. Use feints to get inside and disguise punches. 4. Body/head combos, for example if you throw a jab to the body follow it up with a swift cross to the chin. 5. Keep your head off-line as you punch and go inside. Hope this helps I’m a short heavyweight and pretty much everyone my weight is taller than me so I got experience sparring with taller guys.
