You know, Coach: You're a Great Communicator--With Both Your Language AND Your Body at The Same Time--And That is Quite A Gift And Talent And Skill Set to Have! ***Another Very Talented And Skilful Communicator--And Puncher! 👊--is Russian KZbinr, "Valentyn Trostianchuk!" I also Honor Valentyn by calling him: "Coach"--Because he is So Talented, So Skilful, So Knowledgeable, So Dedicated, So Willing And Able To "Teach AND Coach" Those Who Are Willing And Able To Practice AND LEARN! Please make a video about how to train at home, by yourself (with no trainer, and NO EQUIPMENT, especially NO BAGS. This video would mean so much to me, as I want to box, but don’t have a boxing club, and I can’t really get a bag.
@DadFeels9 ай бұрын
Don’t know if this is something that’s taught but a video on breathing and exhaling while punching would be cool. After two years now I’ve started doing the boxing “shhh” quick breath but I don’t know if I do it right. Sometimes I drool, sometimes I spit and sometimes I make other other noises. It’s hard to get that quick “shhh” the way I hear you and others do it.

Punching through a target is an important concept many non fighters struggle to understand at first
@ZebraEnt7 ай бұрын
Well.....if you punch THROUGH a target I think that constitutes murder soooooo 😬
@HUgeFructose6 ай бұрын
Yeah especially with muay thai roundhouse. Many people just snap their kicks at the target instead of aiming through the target.
@Awesomeflame165 ай бұрын
@@HUgeFructose At my karate dojo in the Krav class, we are taught to kick through with our roundhouse kicks. I always think of my leg as a baseball bat, and the target as the ball I'm supposed to swing my bat through and into. Except the ball is usually lower.
@jmel2495 ай бұрын
Could be wrong, but think it depends. If you throw a straight, ive been thought that you want to snap the punch. If you snap it, you can rattle the brain leading to a lnockout. If you push through a straight , you will negate that effect.

@@ZebraEntyour lack of martial arts training is showing 😂when someone says punch through your target , they mean hit your opponent as if what you are really trying to hit is behind them , making your punch more powerful

The relax part usually confuses a lot of beginners. The only time you tense is the moment of impact. This concept applies not only to boxing but also to alot of sports and martial arts. This is one of the ways how athletes' stamina and endurance seems to be longer than the average human. Bonus this also allows better accuracy and control while being fast
@RicardoMoralesMassin4 ай бұрын
I was just about to comment that as a newbie to recreational boxing I don't really get the "stay relaxed" tip. This cleared it out perfectly. Thanks a lot!

Tony is a great guy to take advice from so don’t take this the wrong way im not disagreeing but i just wanna remind any beginners out there that punching through your target is for power punches specifically. You still want to learn how to generate power with an explosive snapping motion too. One fluent motion back and forth. Hips move with your shoulder when you punch. Even the snapping motion can generate a lot of power when u get it right and thats often what youre gonna use to set up the power shot. Again tho hes not wrong about following through on your power shots but its just something to consider for beginners
