Christopher and Georgie “sweeping for bugs” while divulging incriminating info. Not exactly the two sharpest knives in the drawer.

@Avery Lockland I think his point was that those guys weren’t smart enough to keep their mouths shut. Whether specifically incriminating or not, information was being divulged that The FBI could potentially use in building their ongoing case and to help convict Tony and sink the entire Sopranos crew.

presumably they're looking for tapes that can be destroyed, unlikely the fbi would have a van listening in at that precise moment I guess

The mob hasn't always been very smart when it comes to being cryptic communications wise. There is the story of how the mob knew the phones were bugged so they developed coded language the problem is when they were talking about shirts and one guy goes "That sounds good I'll take two and a half shirts". Kind of defeats the purpose of using coded language if you're gonna throw up red flags like that.

The passage of time made Americans switch their racism to other ethnic groups. Its hard to believe that at one time, both the Irish AND Italians were heavily discriminated against. But what few people know (or will admit) is that both of those ethnic groups didn't like each other! My grandmother, a very proper Edwardian lady born during the first decade of the last century, didn't like them herself. She was actually a VERY good woman, but a product of her generation and upbringing. She used to call the Italians a bunch of cheats and womanizers and the Irish a bunch of drunken fighters.

@rollotomassi47682 жыл бұрын
Agree. They probably shot it a bunch of times with Paulie walking up to Chris, and Paulie just said 'f*** it' on one take, and they used it.
@kennybeans61152 жыл бұрын
Nah, it’s too ‘outgoing’ to be improvised into the middle of the scene. I think people are probably doubting it being in the script because of the slightly-awkward camerawork that came with it, but that’s just natural and par for the course from time to time in shows.
@histguy1012 жыл бұрын
Even when a scene is improvised, it's not just shot off the cuff. The script is changed, rehearsed, and the new version is filmed.
@zacharyb27232 жыл бұрын
@@histguy101 Uh, well sometimes, but sometimes stuff adlibbed on the spot makes it into the final cut without reworking and retaking it. usually when people say 'improvised' that's what they mean, as opposed to an actor having a good idea that doesn't work on the first take and then they rework and reshoot it.

Tony's banking on Livia being the sort of old woman who does nothing but wear the same old clothes over and over again. How do I know this? Because my 94 year old grandmother is exactly the same lol. Worst part is that she still goes out and buys new things she never uses.
