@mcharleau I don’t think Feech was doing it to undermine Tony, I think he’s just old. No wife or kids, all those years away, all he really has left is his legacy and image. Frankly, I think it was Tony that provoked Feech first. He couldn’t just let the old man have the room during that card game, you can tell by this scene that Feech just wanted to run it for the sentiment, re-live the gold ole days before he went away. Then Tony comes in while he’s reminiscing and asserts his dominance where it’s not necessary. Feech reacts with “Jesus Christ how many times this guy gotta say hello?” And Tony puts himself in a position where he has to re-assert himself and Feech gets pissed.

Agreed. It takes a lot of work, memorization and repetition to look like they're not trying. I liked Feech just for the character. But it's crazy when you think about it logistically, these old guys get out, and Feech is doing nickle-and-dime stuff like trying to strong arm some local lawncare company with 2 employees for a few pennies. These old guys like Paulie and Feech and even Richie Aprile had no perspective. You have younger guys skimming massive amounts on construction contracts, housing, etc., and you have these older guys trying to squeeze a few hundred from broke local gardeners, or idiots like Richie Aprile who are given choice garbage contracts and try to double-dip by having the drivers sell cocaine on the routes, which endangers the easy money. Given Feech's attitude toward authority, the old bosses would have wanted to bring him down a notch, but according to the rules, they couldn't just whack him, rough him up, or even tax him without some sort of justification. Hence, the kid-crew is sent in to humiliate him - then they're supposedly forgiven because of their connections while "the right people get their money back".... i.e., it served no purpose other than humiliating Feech. Sil puts feech in his place, even feech knew retribution against the sopranos back in the day wouldn't be a wise move , even after young Tony's actions against a made guy's game..

Yea Tony had his father and junior also Jackie had Richie so they were well protected.

When the door opens and Sil stops for a second to hear the song with Tony...I mean right there! These little moments and details they were putting in that show..they make it so natural. You gotta love every single one of them. Masterpiece..

Feech: "You'll still keep a lion's share of the rake. I'm just asking if I can run it for you." Tony: "Alright, fine. I'll let you run the game simply because I respect you. You'll benefit from the entire operation that we've spent years building up. Our bankroll, hotel suite, fully stocked bar, catered food, and big betting customers are all at your disposal. I'll even let you keep 20% of the profit. But the game has to remain where it is." Feech: *Starts complaining*

Sil is a master. He changes the nature of the conversation so that even though Feech is still telling the story, he’s no longer in command of the room, now it’s Tony’s again because the story is one where he is dominant over Feech.
