For anyone that doesn't know this that here in Australia the Rhino beetle is in fact an aboriginal food staple in its larva stage-a white grub with a red head can't spell or pronounce the word it's called and I have actually eaten a few of them (you don't eat the head part only the white body bit) in my 37 years and they kind of taste like smooth peanut butter to me, good thing is I like peanut butter. I have also eaten teriyaki flavored crickets and liked them-a bit like satay pork or chicken to me. I have not had the other beetles or the spider but if I was paid to maybe I would. Would be cool to say yes I have tried them etc like a bucket list situation. I have also eaten a green tree snake (it was cooked on a spit rotisserie style) at a school camp once as a kid and eat kangaroo meat (marinated steak and the mince, don't like the kanga snags though) sometimes as a stir-fry or in spaghetti bolognaise. Not that anyone asked just thought I would share.
