Yup, cause chase Elliot has had a horrible playoffs for the most part but because he didn’t have bad luck in first 26 races he gets saved for it. Dumb. You get a bonus for being single season championship, but he screwed it up in the first race of playoff, they just need to make it that the points don’t reset after each round . Cause guys that earn more for that round don’t actually make any ground up, so how is that fair?

Elliott has been up front at the end of a handful of the road course races and gotten run over by guys not even trying to race... and everyone says it's his fault. At this point chase should've just run aj into the wall in 1 or 2. Same thing at Watkins Glen with larson. Chase takes the preferred lane and if larson actually races him, Chase wins. If Chase takes the bottom and races clean, he loses. He races aj clean for 2 corners and gets sent the first chance aj got. And idk why reddick was trying so hard to get to elliott when reddick was just gonna be on the outside of the next 2 corners going onto the banking.

Everyone acts as if all NASCAR has to do is wave a magic wand at the Next Gen car and everything will be ok. The amount of R&D that was put into this car was phenomenal and being an engineer myself I can understand all the problems that come with a startup project like this. Changing one component can take months of test time making sure that the one thing that you changed didn't effect something else and cost someone their life. I'm also sure that NASCAR being a major business (not a sport) they're not taking the problems that have developed lightly and making even minor changes while having 1000's of employees of teams jobs on the line requires a careful approach.

How about Ryan Blaney making it to the round of eight without a win at all so far this season?

Now that all of my favorites are out. I’d love to see Blaney make the championship without a win. Finish 2nd and a non championship driver win the race. Blaney could win the championship without a victory.

i’m sure this is very unlikely, but thinking of a battle between NASCAR and another sizable stock car league sounds so entertaining, and would really incentivize NASCAR even more to fix some of the problems with the car, officiating, and especially the business model.

I loved Denny Hamlin's comment after the race. He said over and over , its almost Impossible to pass. Unless you play pit strategy, and he was correct. I don't like him , but I like he has the balls to call this car a POS. It takes talent to drive the cars from past generations, with 4 speed transmissions , and a clutch and skinnier tires. And a billion other things , and this car is really cool for a IMSA race. ONKY FOR ROAD COURSES , BECAUSE OF THE TRANSAXLE AND INDEPENDENT REAR SUSPENSION, But its a POS NACAR CUP SERIES CAR. Cars that 95% OF THE TIME GO IN CIRCLES. SO THIS CAR AND IDEA OF IT WAS A Horrible idea , and product. NO ONE PASSED FOR THE lead unless they did it on a restart. No one came from 8 seconds back and put it to the field. I bet there is alot of angry finger pointing behind the scenes, because Denny is correct. They need to RE DESIGN the hole car. And lick there wounds , and use what worked from past gens, and maybe use the xfinity series bodies. And go with 16" tall wheels , and only 10" or 12" wide tires. And a taller sidewall , amd get rid of the road course independent rear suspension, and Transaxle, go back to the normal rear ends , (THEY take alot of the Rear , impact) , and put the transmission back where it belongs . BOLTED to the engine or Clutch Bell housing , and then they can build a better car. Untill they do this. Itll never ne as good as it was before . !!!!! Oh yeah and PS. GET RID OF THE stupid ass undercarriage, the drivers are to high up in there cars.

Can we talk about the terrible coverage from NBC. When I watch NASCAR I tune into see 5 minutes of Chase Briscoe turning his steering wheel.

Common Sense tells me, NASCAR and Goodyear could easily experiment at Martinsville with using less rubber and more PSI on the contact patch at Martinsville by implementing rain tires to make it much more competitive and interesting with more passing? Or try it at the exhibition race next year?

Nascar is reviewing Cole Custer last lap actions, they are reviewing if Cole intentionally slow down and held up the pack to help his teammates Chase Briscoe to get in the round of 8;
@CodySider2 жыл бұрын
Won’t make a difference, round of 8 is set
@MLJFireDragon7472 жыл бұрын
Custer has a pretty good case for that not being intentional, he could probably see Briscoe coming with the divebomb on fresh tires and simply didn’t want to take his teammate out.
@Thraser9992 жыл бұрын
Still, if you try to slow others down, so your teammate can get closer, or overtake them, it's not "bad", hell, I'd call it teamwork. But Briscoe punting others out of the way when he was at the back during a section of the race to try and gain positions (not like others previouslt didn't do it), is pretty cheap, quite hack-ish to me. Well, considering Briscoe's a hack, it doesn't surprise me...

Another black eye for the playoffs. The fact that YRB is still in with a system that is supposed to make WINNING MEAN MORE and guys with multiple wins (Harvick, Larson) are out. No this system doesn’t reward winning more

I obviously could be completely wrong, but I kinda feel like the car should be a combination of last gen and next gen. I think they maybe just went too far the other direction. Would finding a way to incorporate the carbon symetrical body and rear diffuser on to a more last gen chassis that would't constsntly break toe links be an answer?

My top 4 pick right now would be Elliot, and logano are most likely moving on. I think the last 2 spots are gonna be battled for by hamlin, chastain, and byron. All 3 have problems with each other too so I can only see them going at it with each other. Final prediction: Elliot, logano, chastain, hamlin. I want so badly for byron to make his first round of 4 but I think he misses it by just a few points. Edit: tough luck for my guys Larson and hope Bowman recovers 100% before coming back. The health of these boys matters way more then any playoff drama on the track.

I agree .. The crew gave away the race for sure at Sonoma .. !! For the life of me i cannot understand what CLIFF Daniels was thinking in several races this season…! If you compare crew decision’s with Chase Elliott’s they were 180 out of sink several times and even Daniels admitted this more than once… they started the race together and after green light pit stops Chase would be running up front and Larson was way back in the field …? If you win a stage race for a point but lose the race what good is that, especially on road courses…? Yeah this new car might have created greater problems for some drivers racing style but ya sometimes have to think out of the box to get a higher running position…NASCAR is making this sport harder to fallow each year…. Next thing they will be going Battery Power and im done…! 😡 PS: Cliff im still a big fan of you and LARSON !!!!!

I wonder if there was any team radio communication with Cole Custer to let Chase Briscoe through. Could be a major penalty for tampering with the outcome, like Michael Waltrip Racing got many years ago. I thought Briscoe pulled an awesome move there, but didn't see his Stewart-Haas teammate Custer slowing two other cars down to let him by. Sorry to see Suarez fall out due to mechanical failure. He'll be back strong next year.
