if you check their list, there are 20 death battles involving dc vs marvel out of 143 episodes. 4 death battles with Dc against another franchise 14 death battles with Marvel against another franchise making that nearly 25% of death battle has been dc and marvel

@@lucariosom1267 No, I was genuinely curious about how many video game characters and anime characters ended up in Death Battle. Though now because you want it to be an argument, I WILL say that DC and Marvel are almost themselves genres. Just as you can subdivide video games to Nintendo and Sega and then into Mario and Sonic, Comic Books subdivide into DC and Marvel and then Justice League and Avengers, amongst others. Especially since they often still get solo runs anyway. Besides of which, Death Battle likes to listen to their fanbase on what THEY want to see, so if that means a lot of people want to see DC vs Marvel, it happens. Or worse, the most popular request is something like Carnage vs Darth Maul because they both have a red and black color scheme and Death Battle chose someone else for a more interesting connection and fight.

Think I should make this clear, but last season didn’t have an abundance of Marvel VS DC, but of Marvel and DC. Out of the 20 episodes last season, only 4 of them were Marvel VS DC. The problem was the amount of Marvel and DC characters introduced in the season, where 10 of the 20 episodes featured a character from one of those 2 franchises.

Hinata vs Orihime is a bad matchup, here's why. Hinata has more experience in combat, but Orihime's Shield is nigh indestructible. In TYBW arc, it tanked an attack from post Soul king Yhwach, the strongest charecter in the series. So defensively, Orihime takes it, but she has no way of attacking. So you're stuck in an endless stalemate of hinata unable to break Orihime's shield and Orihime having no way to attack :\

That matchup sounds fun, but Adachi would win. All Magatsu Izanagi needs to do is land one hit and Kira just dies. Kira's better hax requires him to get close to Adachi, whereas Magatsu Izanagi has long range magic and other options.

My first guess on how this fight would begin was right! Well, kinda. I posted in the comments sections of the Lex CEOwns Death Battle preview on KZbin this: "Maybe this could be the reason why Doom and Luthor would end up fighting. Just a guess. Maybe Doom sees potential in Lex's company and technology, but instead of buying it, he comes to the place to take it over, and Lex tries to stop him." Along with a second guess, but this first guess was right in a way! Doom is indeed trying to steal Lex's resources. How much do you all wanna bet that Doom will succeed? They should have done the 40 cakes thing, though. That would have been funny.

You know, two match-ups I really want to see are Ori vs. The Knight (Ori & the Will of the Wisps vs. Hollow Knight) Robin vs. Naofumi (Fire Emblem vs. The Rising of the Shield Hero) The first matchup is self explanatory, but the second actually has more commonalities than one may think. Both Robin and Naofumi are the main protagonists who must set out to save a realm from threats from other dimensions (the alternate future and waves of calamity respectively). Both heroes also find themselves with a curse that sacrifices who they are for power (being grima’s vessel and the wrath shield respectively). They draw their strength to move on and overcome their struggles through the bonds/relationships of people they’ve recruited to their party along the way. I’m sure there are even more similarities, but those are the most glaring ones.

@@loka7783 My guess would be that Robin's Grima form would not be accessible, considering at that point its no longer Robin, but Grima fighting. Then again, Naofumi's Wrath Shield is also incredibly strong and packs the power of a dragon, so it could be actually a bit more even than one would initially think if Grima were allowed.

@@Rasdanation The only quetion that comes to my mind is: How much can Naofumi bench press with the wrath shield out? Conseratively, from what we see in the cut scenes, Grima is at least the size of an aircraft carrier. His sheer weight alone ends most battles before they start realistically. As for whether or not Robin is still Robin after transforming, I feel like I might be splitting hairs but how is it different than Naofumi when he activates the Wrath shield? Naofumi can more easily exit wrath mode if he has help than Robin seems to be able to do.

@@loka7783 yeah, I think the difference is the point of no return. Robin when becoming Grima can't really go back. The most we've seen him do is temporarily take over Grima's consciousness, in the Future Past Xenologue. For Naofumi, the curse is a bit different. If he relies on it too much, from what I've seen, it has the power to kill him, and he also loses any of his empathy as well while utilizing the Wrath Shield. If that's considered Naofumi at that point is a great question, though one that I don't think I can provide a definitive answer to. Another point to bring up on your description of Grima's size/power, Naofumi's shield packs some serious defense as well, protecting two entire parties from a pillar of light with a meteor-like impact and leaving everyone unscathed.

About their being too much marvel vrs dc I can get behind why everyone hates seeing them especially when we see characters show up multiple times even if their fights were already perfect(like batman showing up yet again even tho he already had a perfect fight in the form of batman vrs spiderman, making him fight captain America and black panther was just lazy) but I think they can do some great things with marvel vrs dc fights as long as they put effort into the animation and over episode. A lot of people complain about too much Marvel vs DC match ups in the fan community but not only are they popular but honestly considering how the two companies have so many heroes that parallel one another with a wide array of differences I think it makes sense to have them. Especially since so far Marvel characters are the only ones who can defeat DC characters in death battle. I do admit some match ups seem obvious who would win (like street level Marvel characters beat street level DC characters but super powered DC characters hold an edge over Marvel) but if the idea is solid enough I'm fine with them popping up every few episodes.
