@@the_madson That choice isn't as easy as it seems, espically when in the moment, he's stuck in a Humane flaw Ovethiking something you have to be honest most people would become. Though it is intersting how the boss is paitent enough to wait almost an entire day for it, Like he knowns and cares the boy enough to wait on him, aslong as it takes until it takes too long. Subtle storytelling, though in the torture seen there could be more I wasn't paying attention too. 0:49 here Now realising subtly showed that was he's son, compared to everyother individual memeber, he out of all has the same hair and eyes so he what I said now makes greater sense, espically with the addition of the greater boards before representing each generation, though ontop of that there's dehumanizion with each memeber having sunglasses, is a way for them to not show humanity as they've basically given it up or had to due to well where they are, except the son, his father Maynot use them but instead hides them behind Agression, everytime he commits a moral crime he closes them in the shadow of his eyebrow 0:49-0:52, the son is always showing his eyes. Looking further with the lyrics, the Monsterus is Apathy, the Goons are just Pawns mainly they choose to be, they do not care or stopped caring about good and evil and just went with whats most beneficial to them or the company, aside from the boss who does lean into his evil aspects compared to his son who does the oppisite in his risk. That's some attention to detail.

@@alexcat6685 dont write an essay, you still dont kill my point.
I realized the mob boss is momotaro (he has the bird on his shoulder and a dog-like minion), the girl is an oni, and her lover (the gang member with the long belt) is the monkey; I love the references to japanese folklore in these characters
Are you sure she would have been happier? If the older sister hadn't killed the mother maybe the mother would've abandoned the little sister. Just like how the mother abandoned the older sister. Though I can't really speak Japanese and don't know if the lyrics can be interpreted into the visual story.
@@Demonade_ we never saw Kozuko's father. maybe it was a divorce or an unwanted pregnancy, but overall, I think, Kozuko reminded mother of her daughter's father in a way, or being a single mom was just too tiring for her. but Mezu was born in a full family, mother's husband loves both her and the child (tried to protect his family from Kozuko), and mother herself was doing pretty well and was able to gain weight. this family seemed happy and prospering enough to give Mezu a life happier than Kozuko's
