Ow! OW! (stumping my feet with excitement.... ;P ) Just beginning to watch - my kind of game since I am building Britons and Caesarian Romans!

The gamble of waiting and charging. I do like that aspect, as the waiting for the enemy to pop up is the hard part, which is why I am thinking this game may be a good base for building on to make a modern Afghanistan set of rules. The "do I come out/attack or not" of the barbarians, combined with the lingering "where are they going to come from and when" of the Romans. I love it, and really look forward to playing this.

Thanks for this video Rich, I really like how those chariots worked. Also amassing that fervour and charging into the Romans was mighty brutal, I like it mate. Thanks for all the hard work you’ve all been doing 👍😁

Did I miss an overview of each of the forces? Great bat rep and good overview of the rules

Absolutely brilliant and well worth waiting for. But should it not be 54BC rather than the year of Claudius' demise?

Really interesting watching the main combat develop. Can any other unit join in whilst combat takes place. The British cavalry could have hit the romans in the side or harried them in the rear?

At 53.20 the Romans get 1 casualty and RIch rolls to see if it's a leader and rolls a 1 and says he is wounded again. However, I thought that you had to roll under the number of casualties, so a leader can only be hurt when there are 2 or more casualties? Have I missed something? Also, there are multiple rounds of combat (there appear to be 6) at this point which includes using the +2 bonuses for ferocious charge and aggression twice - is this because Rich hasn't combined the groups in each formation and is fighting them individually?

Badly. However, as a product of the era of punk rock, playing well was never a prerequisite.

Great stuff, but I got a little confused. Though you only were to fight only two rounds of combat. Looks like you did six. Maybe it will be all clear when I get the rules. Looking forward to the next part to see how it all comes out.
@toofatlardies4 жыл бұрын
Mitchell Berdinka That’s two rounds on each activation. So, if blue leader 1 activates you fight two rounds. Then if red leader 1 activates, you fight another two rounds. Sorry if that wasn’t clear. I have actually just packed your order. It’ll be in the post with the hour.

Well done Rich, no mean feat getting this out after the camera problems and the rules launch being so close.

So even if the Optio holds the men in place it still counts as a unit falling back?

I feel like he said on one of the podcasts, though I can not recall for sure. That said I have heard two not opposing views of the Victrix ones (which I had in my electronic cart and almost bought); great models, pain to assemble.

Hmmm, why do I suspect this was filmed on the Sunday morning after Virtual Lard. You did well after the chat at 1am.... :) Looks like a cracking game, I have Romans to assemble, Germans in the mail, and Gallic allies to paint. Very much looking forward to getting my hands on the rules. The Fervour mechanic is just brilliant.
