Very good video Richard. I couldn't help it but my gaze kept diverting to your bookshelves in the background - perhaps a few quick videos discussing books to confine oneself with?

The long awaited Cesarean Romans...thanks for the next installment. Curious as to why aren't the Spanish Caetari are not simple skirmishers with 6 figures? I would think the Scutari would be more of the light/medium infantry...with 8/10 figures. Thoughts?

Thanks Richard, great video., Does the arrival of Hannibal in the first supplement mean the Republican Romans too?

Looking great. :) Watching these should come with a warning about how dangerous to one's wallet these can be. I might've missed it - but do we know yet how Infamy handles activations? Does it lean more toward CoC or SP?

Difficult to answer in that there is no easy answer. It is card driven, like Sharp Practice, but the cards do very different things.

@@toofatlardies Card driven by itself is good enough answer for me. All the better if it's handled differently as well.

Quite looking forward to these rules! That said, I see some of the other comments mention other nations and eras such as Parthians, Carthaginians and Greeks. You say that the 3rd book will have Parthians - do you have a rough idea of what kingdoms and times will be covered by future supplements? (As I'm right in the middle of painting up some Carthaginians, obviously a Punic list would be greatly appreciated)!

Wait, engineer carts? Is this something on the table, or an off table thing like the scouts? If on table, what goes with it, if not, fair enough, I am always good with off board support. They often bring a realistic element... and I do not need to buy/build/paint it before use, though it is nice to have as an off board display piece to show what you have.

If you're basing the Scorpion, what would be the best way? 50mm circular base ok or would you use a square/rectangular base?
@billchristo78944 жыл бұрын
What round base sizes are those? 25mm or 20mm?

Another great insight to the armies for Imfamy, Imfamy Rich. Question mate, are you going to do the Slave Revolt (Spartacus, 😂) lists and if so are they in the rule book? Looking forward to this game with every video 👍

Seems like all the armies are going to be fun to play. I like how each seems to have a different flavor. Now the million dollar question - any idea when the rules will be available for order or preorder??
@ostrowulf4 жыл бұрын
Well, they said before when covid slows down. I know they made a facebook post a few weeks ago about their local post office shutting down. So I imagine they are waiting for more reliable logistics, and also for people to be able to meet up and play.

very interesting, only one small remark, those are not spanish, they are iberians. Spain only started after the 15th century.
@ADHDlanguages4 жыл бұрын
The question of what Spain is and whether it's the same as Castille has plenty of books on it, but these guys were from the Roman province of Hispania, I think we can safely call them Spanish in a wargames context.
@paulomelo10844 жыл бұрын
Peter Webb Sorry but there were several tribes in the Iberian peninsula including the lusitanians, that was in actual Portugal and parts of (future) Leon and Andalusia. All these tribes were under Roman Rule... There is a known revolt of the lusitanian agains Rome around 147BC x 139BC
@ADHDlanguages4 жыл бұрын
Yes, specifying which tribe you're specifically talking about is another issue that can potentially be important, I just mean to say that referring to the peoples of the Iberian peninsula as Spanish isn't incorrect. I actually just heard it used today to refer to Republican era Iberians by Dr. Simon Elliot on the newest episode of the "A few brits and the hobby" podcast.
@paulomelo10844 жыл бұрын
Peter Webb Sorry but I do not agree, It is the same as calling the gauls as franks or french. Iberia got several reigns over the years. Actual Spain is the union of Leon, Castela, Aragon, Navarra, and that union only happened on the 15th century. Portugal is also on the Iberian Peninsula and they started on the 12th century. At the time or Roman there where several tribes, So it is less wrong to call them Iberians than to call them Spanish. Surely Romans had several mercenaries on their ranks from Lusitans, Baleares, etc. on their ranks.
@ADHDlanguages4 жыл бұрын
What you call "actual Spain" is the kingdom of Spain. The word Spain is just the English version of the Roman Hispania, and popped up in English to refer to the entire peninsula long before Ferdinand and Isabel. Still, I get where you're coming from so I can agree to disagree. I'd personally refer to them as Iberians also (or by specific tribe). I certainly don't want to start a fight on a lardy video :)
@erikpulkka59934 жыл бұрын
Rich, please clarify: In an earlier Infamy Infamy Video, you have mentioned deployment/ambush base size as 60mm, then corrected to 50mm the next video, and again now in this video mentioned 60mm bases. Which is it? Looking at your deployment/ambush bases they look like 60mm to me. Can you confirm? I realize this may not be a big deal for game purposes, but I'd just like to know. And Thank you for all these videos, I can't wait to see this published.

The english language using "spanish" to refer to the ancient iberians sounds off, we don't do that here in Spain. It would be like calling the franks french, or the germanic tribes german. There wasn't any kind of cultural or political homogeinity to those peoples, they had nothing do with the concept of Spain/Hispania as it could be implied. Can you do a fully iberian force in Infamy, Infamy?
@toofatlardies4 жыл бұрын
You are right. It’s lazy terminology. The figures are sold as ‘spanish’ when they should beIberian. We will be covering the Iberian and Celt iberians and Lusitaniabs in the first supplement.
