Also, about Russ' triple doubles, I'd like to point out something. He averages a Triple-double for a few seasons. But that means, there's a lot of games where he came close to getting one, but didn't. And in those games, do you really think one more rebound or one more assist would have contributed to a win more often than not?

Not every team is going to be competitive in a sports league, we get used to this in Europe because most of our sports leagues have promotion and relegation. Sam Presti's job is not to win, its to keep his team relevant every year. By drafting good players and then trading them off for picks constantly he can make sure his team is in the playoffs more often than not, and for a team like OKC that is enough.
@tooforwon2412 жыл бұрын
Presti is doing all this so that he can eventually win tho. And who's to say he will ever win if he failed to do so in the past. Does it not sound bad to know that OKC couldn't win 1 title while having 3 future MVPs on their team?

You know what? If the Lakers really want to make a move trade Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, Talent Horton Tucker and picks for Joe Harris and Seth Curry and maybe Kyrie Irving. That would solve their problems. Maybe even throw in Anthony Davis and get Kevin Durant and make it a three team deal and trade Anthony Davis to Boston Celtics for Jaylen Brown and either Marcus Smart or White who alongside Brown and Simmons were all drafted in the first round of the NBA Draft in 2017. All developed and in their prime. That Nets team of Russell Westbrook, Jaylen Brown, Derrick White (or Marcus Smart depending on the trade ), Talent Horton Tucker and Ben Simmons is top to bottom has a better chance of winning NBA Finals Championships than the team they currently have. Russell Westbrook as the primary ball handler with that much talent around him would be a strong contributing factor to the 2023 and 2024 NBA Finals championship 🏆🥇 run. Ben Simmons can also play point guard and other positions. Perhaps trade a second round pick or a first round pick and pick up the defensive specialist from the 76ers whom they're trying to offload and Markelle Fultz who is superfluous point guards on Orlando Magic right now is gettable. Lakers would be in a better place as a team than they are now and the Boston Celtics would be in a better place than they are now to win a NBA Finals Championship. It's a win win for everyone involved 😉😃👍 Real Talk 🦜💯💯💯

No way they get all that protection on those if I'm the GM.. Or it's not happening. Should have taken Eason, a Duren, Williams, Agbaji or something.. Guess they will eventually have 3 picks years from now though.. Might land them Donavan Mitchell I suppose.. OKC drafting Chet and Dieng is a complete joke to me. Neither of those guy's were in my radar. Not even top 25. Dieng not there at all imo. Dude was a late 2nd at best. They drafted one good guy in Jalen Williams. 👏

Nets should trade Kevin Durant and Ben Simmons to Golden State Warriors for Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, Kevon Looney, Otto Porter Jr , Andrew Wiggins, James Wiseman , Poole , and Baldwin . It's not worth it to trade those players for just Kevin Durant. That's a win win for both teams considering that the Nets have Seth Curry and Joe Harris as their own splash brothers and Steve Nash was an assistant coach for the Golden State Warriors for a year. They would be great running the same offensive and defensive strategies and plays that Golden State Warriors run. Real Talk 🦜🦜💯💯💯

@@tooforwon241 thanks 🙏 for responding. I hear you. They do have excellent nuanced leadership in the front office and on the side line including the development coaching on which a lot of this rests. Say for instance they keep Baldwin or that White kid from Texas Tech and Georgetown who broke Allen Iverson State highschool Career scoring record and pick up another underperforming athletic slasher or guard like Josh Jackson,, and Markelle Fultz for instance they are the best at player development in the NBA. They can make moves that other teams have to think hard about. For instance I am not in favor of the Knicks doing a similar trade for Donavon Mitchell. The value of Ben Simmons and Kevin Durant together is about that though to be fair. The question is can they afford to pay a fair price for them all recent events considered. It's not all about the talent being traded it is also about the support that is there to make that situation work. And by support I mean what I already mentioned but also the culture of the team. Most people acknowledge that the Golden State Warriors have the best culture in the NBA. That's part of why the Nets should be eager to trade with the Golden State Warriors because they got rid of what Kenny Atkinson was building there by way of culture there and Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving were looking for a laissez faire situation than usual, not even wanting the Golden State Warriors offense to be run even though was the one under which Steve Nash was GSW assistant coach under and he won 2 champiinships with it and went to another Finals which they lost to Kwai Leonard and Toronto in large part though not totally to major injury 🤕🩸.

Look at what Russ did when he went to the Clippers. You should really stop calling certain players a dumpster fire. Russ is a hall of famer. He never fit in with the Lakers and Lebron was an idiot for requesting the Lakers trade for him. Lots of players don't fit well with Lebron. Russ fit in pretty well on the Clips. The coaching was a big part of that too proving Ty Lue knows what he's doing and Darvin Ham doesn't.
