The Warriors send Draymond to do their talking and dirty work for them. He takes all the slings and arrows on the mic and on the court to protect Kerr the lightskinned boys and the Warriors front office. That is what he's paid for and this is his job. The NBA approves, the Warriors approve, most of the media approves of him. The Joe Dumars and Pistons raising him thing makes it make even more sense. I can't get mad at Draymond for doing he's assigned to do. Plus the Warriors are the NBAs showcase team and all the (casual) "fans" love them and their 3s so they can do no wrong.

You don't even have to win. Exhibit A: Miles Bridges pleaded no contest to felony domestic violence charges and is currently on a 3 year probation.... _while playing and getting $8 million this year._ This is the NBA being so bereft of integrity and innovation - while still being as desperate as ever for "the next MJ" - that they are willing to let Klutch exert stupid levels of influence.

@AGradeNonsense

If I had to guess, I'd say that Draymond had an abusive father, or father figure. When he's talking about HIS kid watching someone standing over him and finding it unacceptable, more likely he's speaking about his own inner child who got stood over and found it unacceptable. This pain in unacceptable for him to admit publicly, so he projects it out onto his kid. Let's hope he doesn't squish the joy out of his son fighting this battle from his past.

its embarrassing how he claims he pulled down Jaylen Brown's shorts because he "cant let his kids see another man standing over me." He taunts the crowd during ejections and goes to press conferences making light of his actions. If an ego like that is treated in the same vein as serious mental health issues then we're losing touch with reality.

STRONG disagree that candid comments are α bigger problem in this situation than Draymond's oblivious, entitled bullshit. I'd agree with you if Draymond's mental health issue was anything other than Narcissistic Personality Disorder, which is defined by an unwillingness to feel shame and a complete refusal to admit that you bear any responsibility for your problems. The main problem with giving narcissistic people sympathy, is that they immediately abuse it. As they are abusers, you should first safeguard the world against them punching someone again before you try to solve the Rubik's Cube of trying to get them to be accountable for their actions. If you need any proof, watch how he ALWAYS has some kind of condition on any apology he makes. He's not apologising, he's worming his way through an inconvenient situation so that he can get back to earning his $100m. The idea that Draymond really learned his lesson, and then premiered that breakthrough, on his podcast, is naïve. The idea he cried with Steve Kerr is naïve. You act like Draymond hasn't lied to everyone time after time. He deserves no trust at this point until he shows some genuine contrition. His weasel words and fake apologies don't even come close to that. Pointing out a problem is not the problem. That's gaslighting 101.

@@sdfishinn it’s not that what Ja did was so bad, it was mostly just young dumb behaviour that countless athletes have exhibited when young. But NBA and his team gave him the EXACT same treatment. In the past when AI and guys like that screwed up, they got told they screwed up, they were told to take responsibility for it, and there was no massage treatment like their errors were so utterly connected to anything deeper than bad decision msk8ng. I use AI as the example because he grew up in an environment where you might expect him to play loose with the rules. But when he screwed up, he was treated like a man. NBA treated Ja like a child and Draymond like an overgrown child. I still can’t get over how people actually defended Draymond sucker-punching his own college aged teammate. Draymond doesn't need help. He's a wealthy, grown-ass man. He can afford his own therapy if he wants to go that route. What he needs is to retire. I have no idea why Adam Silver evidently convinced him not to retire. I love that statement from Draymond "I don't usually apologise, but I would like to apologise this time, coz I didn't intend to hit Jusuf". LOL, that is just gold, he 100% planned on whacking Nurkic in the head. Draymond 'never intends' do any of the shit he does, but he just keeps on doing it. When you get older, you can't do the same things on the court you used to and this gets hard to accept. Most guys learn to accept it. Others, like Draymond just start lashing out. @@nanaeb7387i kinda see it as it happened, but butterfly effect probably not. His suspension was a help for the Cavs comeback in 2016 and he got KD to leave which could have led the warriors to another 2 rings. However, if he didn’t cost us 2016 there’s no way KD would come here after the warriors win the finals, so idk.

God, that snippet with Colin Cowherd talking about what we want our athletes to be at 12:27 is so perfect. Completely and fundamentally misunderstands the aversion to the 'shut up and dribble' argument. No, we don't all want our athletes to be "politicians" or have "big opinions". What we want is for our athletes to be RELATABLE and UNDERSTANDING. To be able to appreciate the positions they are in that is bolstered by our continuous support of them. That does not at all require athletes to be a politician or have big opinions. All it requires of them is to be decent fucking human beings for christ's sake, lol.

I’m glad someone else agrees with me on the annoyance of this man. He’s on the way out, and like any other idiot that is losing his touch, he has to get nasty and outrageous. Any other point in history we would turn away and he would fade into obscurity. Look at Albert Belle. Jeff George. Vontaze Burfect. Richie Incognito. Instead Draymond just gets this inexplicable pass. The guy is calculating and does these things to make himself relevant and stay in the algorithms that run our lives. Other people are figuring it out as well. Just ask Kat Williams. Frankly, I’m just bored of this guy, just like I have been bored of the NBA for years.
