2001 was the first time I saw them as well. It was in Charlotte, North Carolina. I've seen them four times in total. In my opinion, that was my favorite of all four. I saw them again in 2002 and the show was good. I even got to hear them play the Holy Trinity in its entirety for the second time but it still wasn't as good as the first time. The third time I saw them was in 2007 on the second leg of the 10,000 Days tour. Both of those shows I saw in richmond, virginia. The last time I saw them was in 2020 in Las Vegas just before the pandemic. Again, it was great but still not as good as the first time.

@darrenfreyauthor2 жыл бұрын
@@rubaidaallen2764 yes! That tour was magical. Maybe it was because it was the first time I saw them but none of the others could compare. When I first saw them at the Charlotte amphitheater, I was out in the lawn and not even close enough to actually see any of the band members on stage. I could just see the light show going on and the video monitors but even that was enough. They played eulogy at that show and even then it was extremely rare they played that live. Out of the four times I have seen them, that was probably the rarest song they've played. When I saw them on the the 10,000 days tour they did play Pushit but even that is a little more common than eulogy. When I last saw them in Vegas I was disappointed because instead of playing descending, they took a 20-minute intermission and never played it at all. I was excited to hear all the new songs but that was the song I wanted to hear the most and it honestly still kind of bums me out that I never got to hear it.

Tool played a club I cooked at in Vancouver back in '94. I made their fruit and veggie platters. Original lineup with Paul D'Amour on bass. Maynard still had hair, and Danny was tall af. He towered over everybody, including the bouncers. They stood 15 feet from me in the kitchen, psyching themselves up before htting the stage. I got so slammed that I didn't even get a moment to stick my head out to see any of it, but the stage was 30 feet from the kitchen doors, so it still sounded amazing. They tore the freaking roof off! A Maynard power scream in a 300 seat club is something you'll never forget! The highlight for me was their version of No Quarter. A rush of energy flowed from my toes to the top of my head, with every hair on my body standing up. And every time I've heard it since, I get that same rush, bringing me right back to that night. Freaking electric! 😎

I first heard Punk Rock in around 1973-74 during the Disco (de) revolution. I never thought punk would have a future effect on music, since Disco was sucking the air out of the public and the airwaves. But bands like Skinny Puppy, Marylin zManson, and Tool show elements of the punk movement still live, albeit with a musicality punk never had. Thank you Tool, keep musical discovery alive. Fibonacci would have been proud. As would Johnny Rotten and a host of others of the music their grandkids are making.

This is the best quality I have ever seen The Grudge. Audio and video quality are exceptional. Usually one or the other is ok and the other is good but both are great here.

Dude I was there! About ten people from the rail. They sounded great and Maynard was really on that night. One of the best shows I’ve seen. If it weren’t for king gizzard the night before I’d say it was the best show of the festival, but gizz really brought it! It was really cool to see 46&2 played live, one of my favorite songs. Also the patient was a special treat.

Maynard: Hey bonnaroo, you all tripping balls yet *8 songs later* Surely the drungs have kicked in by now * me looking at my friend laying in the ground and feeling like my soul is above the earth bc of the 3 tabs I took* … in other words great fucking show!
