Awesome review. Think I'll get this toolkitrc charger. It has a lot of information to help you know about charging/discharging lipo batteries. When you do a flight, do you have to discharge the batteries?

Thanks for this. The fan loudness was what I was really interested in. It would be very helpful if a reviewer of chargers like this would get a phone sound db meter app on their phone (let us know what the app is called) and put it 2 feet away so that we can compare it to our existing chargers.

I'm loving this thing. I like that it beeps once when either a discharge is done, a fast charge is done, or a trickle charge is done on any of the packs. You can then run that pack while other are being processed. I now am keeping a log on each pack as it is clear some are stronger than others. Nothing bugs me more than filming a good flight only having to cut it short due to a weak pack. It's also nice to bring multiple packs to storage level so painlessly.

I just got this same charger, but my balance wires won't stay plugged into the ports! I've tried 3S and 4S balance wires (with extensions), and they just fall out. Unless I tape them or something, I would be very concerned about them falling out while charging. Just wondering if you had any similar experience with yours? You didn't mention it, and it looked like you were able to just plug yours in just fine, but I'm just curious if you had any trouble with that.

I made up some 10" XT60 to XT30/XT60 extenders to solve the congestion problem when charging multiple packs, so now the balanced leads are less likely to fall out ... but yes, they are not held in very tightly. Perhaps slightly squeezing 2 of the pins closer together with needle nose pliers in each port likely will help. TOMMY

Can you charge 2S batteries which only have 3 port JST by just plugging into the balance port?

I just tried it and the answer is no. The charging current only comes from the main POS and NEG terminals.

Can you charge (1s) lipo only on xt60 port without balance cables connected?
