Two times in. I've been struck dumb by a voice that speaks, from deep beneath the endless water that's, twice as clear as heaven, twice as loud as reason. It's about helping people suffering in the shadow realm. To help them transcend out of their shadow self, toward their higher selves. It's actually a very deep song, based on studies of the psychologist Carl Jung. Carl Jung implemented the term "Shadow self" and they have been using his psychology in many songs. Including this, sober "there's a shadow just behind me", 46&2 "Stepping through the shadow". According to Carl Jung, you only reach enlightenment by stepping past your shadow, realizing your divine nature of both darkness and light. Tool is indeed, a highly creative band.

Paid roughly $600 for my wife and I in Detroit had seats 2 rows down from the stage, in middle of the row if that gives a perspective.. Been listening to em since I was 12 first time in concert absolutely loved!

Pretty accurate musical depiction of heroin addiction. Dude had to deal with it for sure. This is their best album, and the two best songs they ever did... undertow and Intolerance. Love this band saw them up close at mile high music festival 2008 or 2009. Right up against the fence. I will never forget it
