Lyrics:
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Some say the end is near
Some say we'll see Armageddon soon
Certainly hope we will
I sure could use a vacation from this
Bullshit three ring circus
Sideshow of freaks
Here in this hopeless fucking hole we call L.A.
The only way to fix it is to flush it all away
Any fucking time, any fucking day
Learn to swim, see you down in Arizona Bay
Fret for your figure and
Fret for your latte and
Fret for your lawsuit and
Fret for your hairpiece and
Fret for your Prozac and
Fret for your pilot and
Fret for your contract and
Fret for your car
It's a Bullshit three ring circus
Sideshow of freaks
Here in this hopeless fucking hole we call L.A.
The only way to fix it is to flush it all away
Any fucking time, any fucking day
Learn to swim, see you down in Arizona Bay
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Some say a comet will fall from the sky
Followed by meteor showers and tidal waves
Followed by fault lines that cannot sit still
Followed by millions of dumbfounded dipshits
And some say the end is near
Some say we'll see Armageddon soon
I certainly hope we will
I sure could use a vacation from this
Stupid shit, silly shit, stupid shit
One great big festering neon distraction
I've a suggestion to keep you all occupied
Learn to swim, learn to swim, learn to swim
'Cause mom's gonna fix it all soon
Mom's coming 'round to put it back the way it ought to be
Learn to swim, learn to swim, learn to swim, learn to swim
Learn to swim, learn to swim, learn to swim, learn to swim
Fuck L Ron Hubbard and fuck all his clones
Fuck all those gun-toting hip gangster wannabes
Learn to swim, learn to swim, learn to swim, learn to swim
Learn to swim, learn to swim, learn to swim, learn to swim
Fuck retro anything
Fuck your tattoos
Fuck all you junkies and
Fuck your short memory
Learn to swim, learn to swim, learn to swim, learn to swim
Learn to swim, learn to swim, learn to swim, learn to swim
Yeah, fuck smiley glad-hands with hidden agendas
Fuck these dysfunctional insecure actresses
Learn to swim, learn to swim, learn to swim, learn to swim
Learn to swim, learn to swim, learn to swim
'Cause I'm praying for rain
I'm praying for tidal waves
I want to see the ground give way
I want to watch it all go down
Mom, please flush it all away
I want to see it go right in and down
I want to watch it go right in
Watch you flush it all away
Yeah, time to bring it down again
Yeah, don't just call me pessimist
Try and read between the lines
And I can't imagine why you wouldn't
Welcome any change, my friend
I wanna see it come down
Bring it down, suck it down, flush it down
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey

No joke, diagnosed in Oct '21. Had it removed, doing a year of meds. I graduated high school in '95 and Tool has never left me. Every album a gem. When music causes your endorphins to flow, your adrenaline to rush, and goosebumps all over your body, it's a natural pain reliever and mood booster. Next time you're sick or feel like shit all over, listen to the song that lifts you from your chair all by itself...LOUD 👍 Oh, and I should be ok. We maybe caught it early enough.

I'll put some prayers in for you. I'm a stage IV cancer survivor myself....6 months of chemo and 6 surgeries...that was over 12 years ago and I'm still here at the age of 57. If it helps, I chose not to put forth anger against the cancer but projected love onto it through constant creative visualization and meditation. While doing so, I told it that it did not belong in my body and instructed it to politely leave. I have found that when one fights against something, it tends to resist and fights back. By projecting love onto the cancer, it listened and went away.

It takes a rare soul to appreciate it in the childhood, but he did some incredible things that the music evolves with you. The only other media I've seen do that is the bible. I'm not saying Maynard is Jesus, but you can certainly get to some holy places sitting back and listening. He's certainly both the solution and problem to the band, I love it all.

Same here! I didn’t really like them at all when they were big in the 90’s-00’s, but now I can appreciate them a lot more. I’ve found that I’m liking a lot of different stuff now than when it was new, I was a lot younger, and certainly more musically narrow/close minded to boot.

They wont let the 61 cargo ships offload an Los Angeles port in California. They are just circling around at sea all because covid restrictions. Some of the people that listen to this are democratic tools and dont think they will be effected when 💩it goes down. Some of them that listen to this are so dumb they cant see this song talks about them They will attempt to take from others that have prepared and got food but most that have done that have a lot of guns and ammo good luck going the zombie route🤣

@@spankthemonkey3437 😖🤦‍♂️ my friend, Thinking that their is any substantial difference between dems & Republicans only shows the media indoctrination you have been subjected to. That saddens me a little slightly. Ill break it down very simply. BOTH parties are equally corrupt. Whom do they work for? Who funds politicians when legal bribery accepted as daily business? BOTH parties have 1 job, its to "fund raise, not do whats best for the people " their real job is to funnel wealth upwards. You know this, or at least should. But i dont blame you or youre words, they are just naive & fundamentally molded by a lifetime of propaganda by the establishment. I.e. the 1%. You vilifying 50+% of the country, you're fellow Americans. Youre neighbors, friends, family. ( whom are brainwashed to think that their buddy, friend, family is crazy) it keeps us fighting eachother, instead of fighting for things like privacy, freedom of speech, universal health care, education, a living wage. Please stop thinking that 1 party is better, they are bought by the same people. I think the jimmy Dore show , chris hedges, Howard zinn can help open youre eyes wider than i can, check them out.

This song was on the radio when my mother was dying of cancer. She was 68 years old. I told her about the song and we listened to it together. She told me that when she was young, people would share commentary through essays published. And people would read them and then write an essay of response. She felt that this music was a progression of society to accomplish the same end. She thought it was interesting.

No effects... affected means affection with an ion at the end. We won't be effected again. Time to equate using the tool that holds US together. The fine line between love and war. Is gwar. A band of architecture and Earth, wind, fire. Water gets us through all that and BP keeps our customs in order. Mary always has to fix this when change comes. Bringing down the very cause of war is a void worth filling. They always seem to start thinking that they can rule better and that why they have no place to go. They are sealed for reasons and tool knows how to do this with no deals and no bombs. We don't want our house to look like damage and lifeless places. This is the final frontier. Nowhere to run they destroyed and we worked hard to build this place. So when the border crisis hits. It does weigh on all of us to stop this or this place will be no more also. Not your problem but it soon could be. I don't want to start over because of this thing that sucks life right out. They will devour all life forms. And the seal was only good tell 2012. But they chew their way through the barrier or atmosphere and tunnel through ground until all life is like the desert or worse gone.
