I'm from Japan, my father had this vessel impact screwdriver when I was like 5. I stole this from my father's tool box around that time, and I'm using it for more than 20 years (same screw driver). Now I have many screwdrivers from Harbor freight, craftsman Stanley etc etc, but its still the best screw driver to work on old Japanese motorcycle.

Vessel makes a bad ass set of clip removal tools. Two piece megadora. They also make short depth screwdriver ratchets and plastic rubber mallet with replacement heads for long life. Needless to say I’ve picked those up and they’re amazing. I have a full set of megadora in flat head and JIS. Loving the ko-ken tools. Picked up a few you recommended. Spark plug tool is incredible. Works like a champ.. Japan makes some fantastic tools.

This is great info for anyone working on a Japanese car. Thankfully I learned beforehand the difference when I did the brake pads and rotors on my wife's Honda.

it comes to something when your wife got complain about your spending on amazon lol . Nice screwdriver set and a must when specializing in japanese machinery . Design is on another level . makes snapon look like it been asleep for last 2 decades .

Just run it through a de-magnetizer when you don't want the magnetism, and then run it through the magnetizer again when you're done.

You may have mentioned it, but if you see a dimple/punch mark on what appears to be a Phillips screw head... it’s most likely a JIS - especially if it’s a Japanese product. The Vessel impact #2 works great on Honda rotor retention screws.

Because he repeated himself a number of times and I felt like the video was quite a bit longer than it needed to be. I already gave him my view and I only give videos a thumbs up to keep a small list under my liked videos section on KZbin. The way KZbin works is it does not matter up or down, pressing a like/dislike or making a comment shows activity on a video and that is what is used as well as views in how videos are presented. It is not based solely on views.. When a video is helpful to me I make a comment for this reason and to thank them, but when my comment would have been something along the lines of, the information is here but you sure do take a lot of time getting it across I normally just give a thumbs down. In this case I do hate the “i just wasted X amount of time I’ll never get back watching this video” types of comments people make. I don’t feel that strongly toward this video but it is very lengthy for the amount of information I received that was helpful to me or that I was looking for. This is opinion. I don’t like making mean comments and for a time I would make comments that I thought where genuine constructive criticism. I would word them as not to sound harsh and explain them as such, but as reading comments no one can hear the tone or intention in my voice and people would sometimes take offense to them, even when I would leave them on videos where it was asked of the viewer if they had any suggestions how the video could have been better. So there is a couple reasons why I personally only leave a thumbs down over making a callus and rude statement such as “damn you take a long time to only say a few things” but in summary that is the main reason behind the thumbs down. But taking a long time to repeat yourself is a VERY COMMON thing people do, I just got done doing it. Wish I had the convenience of speaking over typing and somehow to send you this comment directly so you’d be the only one to see it. There you go one mans very long story of why I thumbs downed this video as well as why I do others. Thanks

Hey mrsubaru does vessel only make 3 different impact screwdrivers? I could only find 3 different jis vessels a p3 150mm a p2 150 and a smaller one. The gray ones. I thought i seen and impact flat head too but its red instead of gray

This might be a dumb question because you mentioned that it has a striking cap but it was unclear further in your video if it has the same cam mechanism as the vessel impact (in grey) ?

It doesn't have the impact mechanism of the Vessel Impacta screwdrivers. Just a solid shank to shock screws.

impact screw driver are quite a bit heavier Do not buy them unless you need the impact it’s not worth carrying the extra weight

Couldn't you just grind a little off of the tip of a standard Philips screwdriver and make it into a JIS?

Cant decice between this and the regular megadora set. I like the non slip heads on the regular set and the little hex piece so you could put a wrench on it even though i would probably never use it, but i really like the sound of wood grips. Might order some singles of a weird size that doesnt come in the kit like ph0 to get a feel
