Feels good carrying nothing but a tape and marking tools

Appreciate it.. I’ve wondered about the Croc and the V cutter 👍👍

I recently tapped a hole in a fujia stripper I have and it works well despite the diy. The one thing it dosent like is thick insulation like aluminum stove wire.

@@MattHmm-rq6dn yeah, you have to follow the spiral of the nm cable as it turns i did it on 8-3 in a short and live

I'll keep this in mind it was for 50amp stove plug in a 70s apartment aluminum stranded no neutral. It was too thick to cut it in the v. I doubt this wire is something they would use these days since it needs a white neutral on modern stuff. The only point made here is won't work on some thick cable. I wish I saw more 8/3 unfortunately I'm lucky to see grounds on plugs at times 😆. I'm "glass" I'm "fused" to the job for now!

I’ve been wearing boulder bags for 6+ years now and they are great. I just ordered myself a pair of diamond backs though, figured I’d try something different I’ve never had anything besides the boulder bags. Hoping I don’t regret it. Only downsides I have found with boulder bags is they stick out from you hips quite a ways which can make it hard in tight spaces, and after 3 years the nylon starts to tear on the seams and corners but overall they are a great bag for the money.

Fyi the little pocket on front, I put full rolls of tape in and when I’m phase taping with multiple colors I store the rolls in there to take in and out to not have to deal with the chain.

yea they are great I do a good mix of commercial, residential, service, remodels, just about everything and they work for me in every environment plenty of storage for fasteners and whatever tools you need to carry

Thankfully my job only requires me to carry my phone, ID, car & office keys. I don't know if I could still carry tools like I did in my pre-college days

Slick set up seems like a lot for a typical Sparky to carry ... and the ripper is nifty

yeah not all this should be carried but it can and some times if im doing a service call i load it ALL up and use it as a tool bag it fits and its all together

I like the weight to the back setup. I don't have a need for a full rig, since I do commercial maintenance work. I can kind of setup a single pouch for a specific task and get away with it. Just ordered the diamondback mini niko and flux pouches, we will see 🤷🏻♂️. Thanks for the video sir

dang i saw that but i dont think its gona deliver looks very long and gona brush your thighs? thanks

@toolsandtactics yeah the mini niko looks a little long, but I'm not against modding my bags if the layout/capacity is what I'm after 👍

That's a good setup for a 701 vest. You don't need everything all the time. A alternative for people is the veto dp3 which many got in the spring promo makes a good primary bag for a diamondback vest or even tool belt.
@bradw05355 ай бұрын
@MattHmm-rq6dn haven't checked out the vest, but do have the DP3. The vest might help to secure that thing, as it is, seems pretty unstable with just the clip
@MattHmm-rq6dn5 ай бұрын
I put my dp3 on a madpac to make it easy to take on or off and drop it a little lower on my waist. But it will work however you do it. I have long arms I'm even hang my mp2x on a tape clip holder(rackateirs) leather to drop it a tab bit lower.
