Our RPG group tried this out when it first came out in the mid-80s. I think we did half a session as it was too silly for all of us. To this day, it's still a running joke 40 years later that we'll resume our Toon campaign.

It took us some getting used to. Kind of like Paranoia, you're all kind of competing to be silliest rather than working together. But after a couple of sessions we got used to it and had great fun.

I haven't looked through a copy in many a year, but I do remember thinking it was pretty darn cool back in the 80's.

Chutzpah is pronounced "hoot-spah" I believe. Though "coopah" made me laugh. I'm only familiar with it from friends who speak Yiddish.

I was trying to say coots-pah, but my speech impediment got in the way, it's usually okay, but when I encounter words I don't use much, I kind of forget the mouth shape I need to do to say them. All good though as long as I never insulted anyone or summoned up any demons.

@@RPGGamer No insult meant. I genuinely just found it funny.

@@friarlawless No insult taken, honestly I consider it lucky that I don't mis-say words and totally insult someone or accidental say some lovecraftian chant which summons up an elder god.

One of the joys of running this channel is getting to cover the great old games which I remember from 40 years ago.

I find it interesting Warren Spector's work on both 1984 Toon and 1988 The Bullwinkle and Rocky Role-Playing Party Game.
