The bubble boss from Megaman 1 is actually a guardian of sorts of the wily castle. It's basically a firewall that prevents intruders from entering. At least that how powered up reimagined it, which I liked.

I think that the second boss in 2 was intended to be like the Block Devil, where the platforms that leave no longer function as blocks, but they didn't have time to make it work like that. I've read that on Shmupulations, I think?

I think they changed the Yellow Devil's appearance in 3 to bring him in line with the Robot Dragon, Guts Dozer, and the rest of the typically cartoon-eyed Mega Man enemies and bosses. That said, he looks sad and tired more than anything. Mega Man 3 Yellow Devil takes no joy in his work.

All these years I was wondering why it had the number 2 and just wrongly assumed it was because there's 2 of them! Plus I always forgurt about the elusive Rounder 1 guys in 5. Loving all the new content TooterP. I will say that the Robot Archive should have been in MM9 so you could have had a robot from Mega Man and Bass in there ( Pirate Man, Cold Man ? ). I think it would have worked still as you would have some viable weakness weapons for other Robot Masters ( Cut Man weak to the Concrete Block, Crash Man weak to the Tornado Blow for starters ). My favorite boss is the crab robot in the castle out of spite as the robot archive did not feature any of my favorite robot masters. There may not be a Blue Devil yet, but they did come close in MM10 with a Violet Devil.

Agree on MM11. Honestly yellow devil made me say " im not having fun anymore" to his fight.. I hate YD11. The other boss is fine and i had zero issues with him. That said.. totally agree that mm11's music lacks the megaman feel and flare that all the others give. Its samey.

Agreed, Dragon might be the best fight in all of mega man. Yay Turtles. I hate the square machine :( Just cuz it takes 10 years. Agreed on this thing too. Big Pets is arguably the coolest fight in mega man tbh. Should be #1 but your choice was 2nd. Bouncing the ball back with rush POW is super cool, maybe coolest thing. X1: Bospider, no shot. D-rex is mid and Rangda Bangda sucks, but Bospider is at least an interesting fight even if it can be pretty hard X2: I don't particularly like these castle bosses. Violen is RNG bullshit and both Serges Tank and Agile Flyer are easy as hell once you know what you're doing, so I'll have to give it to Serges Tank for the aesthetics. All of these fights are mid in comparison to the optional X-Hunter fights. X3: There are a lot of permutations depending on whether or not you killed Bit, Byte, and Vile, so let's go through them. Press Disposer has a neat gimmick with how destroying its nose fills the screen with acid but it looks kind of stupid and it's unremarkable overall. Godkarmachine O Inary loses points for its terrible name, and its attacks are pretty repetitive. Volt Kurageil has a sick design but is kind of underwhelming as a fight. Vile earns points for being Vile and that sick ending, and the fight overall can be pretty enjoyable. Doppler himself is pretty annoying with his self-healing and repetitive theme, but he's not terrible. I can think of worse bosses. Overall the pick is Vile X4: Iris and Double are technically midbosses, so it's between Colonel 2 and General. This is complicated by the character selection. As X, General is the better fight, but as Zero, General is incredibly frustrating to hit. I think Colonel wins overall but neither of them are particularly good and the Colonel fight in Memorial Hall as X is infinitely better. X5: Shadow Devil is underrated, Rangda Bangda is as mid as ever, X is a bit too easy even if it is cool that he's using the Ultimate Armour and X4 weapons, Zero is pretty good, and Awakened Zero is just Zero but better in every way aside from that shitty aura so he easily wins, next entry. X6: Nightmare Mother or Gate. Might as well ask me if I prefer cyanide or arsenic. Gate at least has a good design and song and doesn't punish you for playing Zero, so I guess I'll go with Gate X7: Mole Bore wins by default despite living up to its name because Red is technically a midboss. X8: You can argue that Copy Sigma is a Sigma fight and I say that doesn't matter because Sigma isn't even the final boss of X8. The Vile fight beats it anyways, but Copy Sigma would be a top contender for the best castle boss in most other X games.
