Can you do a video on the best starting agencies. Like the ones that realistically if your starting to work and have a few credits under your belt
Can you please make a video listing small LA agencies for us beginners with little to no credits but great training, but these agents still have connections to get you into good auditions such as netflix, and can direct you in the right path
It will be very nice if Actors Academy had posted a Backstage link in the description box below about small agencies on this video.

Moxie ツ you feel like you’d be embarrassed, of course!!! It’s a real fear, even for great actors, they are comfortable most the time but during their next big role it’s just as much pressure as you face, but they have built a stronger set of tools. Just keep taking steps and your passion will either show or your fear, and you will make the decision to conquer the fear or maybe it just isn’t worth it to you.

When you say "make a name for yourself", what exactly do you need to have accomplished, in order to get in to these agencies. In terms of experience
@TheActorsAcademy5 жыл бұрын
It means getting notoriety. Which actors will usually get from the roles and projects they are in. For example if next month you were cast as the next big Marvel hero, that would be considered a substantial amount of notoriety. Agents from almost any of these agencies would love to work with you, but in order to get a role as the main hero in Marvel movie usually takes time (unless you get very lucky). The more credits you receive and people you get to know within the industry help you book bigger projects and build a name for yourself. Hope that makes sense. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Could you please make a vedio on types of acting classes actors must take.thank you:)
@TheActorsAcademy5 жыл бұрын
Hey there, actors should take classes that they think will help improve their acting best. So first, if you are taking classes that you think are not that adventitious towards you improving your acting abilities than leave the class. If you find actors playing their roles over the top (instead of realistically) and getting praise for it, leave the class. That’s the first step. Then decide what type of Acting you want to do. Do you want to do theatre or film acting? If you want to do film, than you should lean towards more film classes if you want to do theatre than lean more towards theatre classes. So if you want to do film, find a film class you think will suit you best. Research the instructors and company to understand if they are the instructors you want. At some point you can dabble in the opposite (theatre or film) but you should take classes in what you primarily want to do. I’d also suggest at some point to dabble in a little improv, just to have some grasp on it. You do not need to take years of it (unless you wanted) but maybe at least a session or two. This is a decent skill for those auditions, where casting or the director will want you to improv. Again you don’t need tears of it, but a session or two in the future won’t be bad, but again focus more on what you primarily want to do first (film or theatre). Hope that makes sense. Let me know if you have any further questions. Cheers!

to get on a top agency you need to have the ability to make money and secure bookings, you don't have to any other requirements but that, it's a double edged sword, easier to get bookings when signed with a major, but they will also sign anyone who consistently gets good bookings and poach from smaller agencies. What big agencies offer the most is packaging.

When you’re auditioning for an agent, what are all the things they have you do? Do you just have to read a monologue? And where can I find a good monologue?
@TheActorsAcademy5 жыл бұрын
Well you should bring your headshot with you first, to all your meetings (unless clarified otherwise). In terms of presenting a monologue it all depends. Some agencies will want you to, while others may not. Sometimes they will give you something ahead of time. They could just want an in person meeting for chatting to see if you’re a right fit and that could be all. On other occasions they may ask you to record a scene at home and send to them. In short it all depends on the Agency. You will be chatting at all these meetings, it just depends on whether or not they will not a monologue or a scene and that is specifically up to the agency. In terms of what monologue will suit you (if you get to choose). Choose something that fits your age range and you think you could be cast as

What are the best ways to submit our headshots and resume for actors not living in USA?
@TheActorsAcademy5 жыл бұрын
It depends on the agency. Usually the best way to reach them is by the agencies direct emails for inquires. If you do not live in the US and you want a US agent, it is very hard to get one, unless you already have an established name for yourself within the industry. I’d suggest looking and getting an agent from wherever you are first and doing work there before think of the US, because the US can be a very hard market to break into. Best of luck!

Nope. If they charge you , it's most likely a fake agency
@TheActorsAcademy5 жыл бұрын
Hey, you should not have to pay for an Agency. They take a percentage of whatever you make (usually between 10%-20%). This gives agents an incentive to have you book. It helps them work that much harder for you.

The Actors Academy got it, one last thing, can I go to an agency appointment even if my resume is empty, cause I heard a lot of people started off with literally zero experience and they where able to get an agent...🤔
@TheActorsAcademy5 жыл бұрын
Yes you still can. Of course having a resume helps, but you can still get an agent without it. You will want a very good headshot though and cover letter (the message you send to the agency). Sometimes they will ask for a reel, but you can always tell them that you’re still working on it, but would like a meeting with them. Hope that helps!

Because I say certain words differently. For example "Luther", when I say it, it sounds like I say loofa, lol.
@TheActorsAcademy5 жыл бұрын
It depends. These agencies have several different locations, most of which being in LA except for Independent Talent Group. WME has a branch located in Australia. There are several Australian Agencies, but I’m not an expert of the preferred one to go to, since I’ve never lived in Australia long enough to search for representation there; I wouldn’t want to guide you in the wrong direction (of course WME is great, but its difficult to get in if you’re new). With that being said, there are several talent agencies in Australia that you can try and be apart of. You just need to do your research on which one might be right for you. Hope that helps. Cheers!
