I have a question about adapting a regular recipe for the Instant Pot Vortex Plus. Specifically, if I’m cooking a 4 salmon “steaks” how would I adapt the time? Thanks - and you have been a lifesaver!

Really liked this video. I’m going to replace my Cuisinart, the bake function quit working. I bought it for the size. I love my Instant Pot, so I think I’ll probably get the Vortex. Hi! Loved this video! I am doing for a countertop oven to replace using my full sized oven. I found a basket on Amazon that is actually 11.7" long!! Just enough to fit in the Omni/ Plus. I think the spit and screws will fit. Not exactly like the Vortex Plus, but gives you more space for more food... Yippee!! 😋

Great video, thanks! Question - I have an Omni Plus and am looking for something to put on the drip pan to catch spills. Everything I've seen is square or rectangular. Is there one that will fit, or do I have to buy one a bit larger and cut it to the proper shape?

Thank you. Even though it doesn't advise it in the instructions. I cover my bottom drip pan in foil. I've done it since I bought it and it is still working just fine.

I would like to cook a roast beef in the Vortex Plus. Either rotisserie or on the drip pan. Either way it seems like the fat would overflow the drip pan. Is it hopeless?
@LanaUnderPressure2 жыл бұрын
Nope one truck would be too add sluces of bread on the bottom it will absorb the fat and juice.

Great video! I'm glad to know about that rotisserie basket. I decided on the Omni Plus once I saw that was available. It arrives tomorrow and I'll see if I find the baskets are insufficient for what I want to do, then order that later if so. Doesn't your other, original, olive oil mister do a finer spray if you don't have it on the stream setting?
@LanaUnderPressure4 жыл бұрын
Hi. I've tried turning the knob to the finger mist but it doesn't push the oil through enough and still doesn't get as fine a spray as I like.

@@LanaUnderPressure My new Topst sprayer arrived today. It does produce a nice fine spritz of oil. I think I'll end up getting one for sesame oil and one for avocado oil. You got a new affiliate commission and I got a nice sprayer. Good trade! :)

Can you twist the tip of that large sprayer nozzle to control the dispersion? Regular spray bottles can go from mist to stream by turning their nozzle.
@LanaUnderPressure3 жыл бұрын
Hi. I tried and I found that even twisting it, it didn;t mist enough to get a fine mist. I think it has to do with the size of the holes.

How do you think BBQ baby back ribs will do? Also, do you think I can just use the black pan that came with the machine? Maybe, you can do a video for us? I just got it yesterday.. So, far I am in love ! Can I also, use the silicone mat on the bottom crumb tray to keep it clean? Thanks for the video !!
@LanaUnderPressure4 жыл бұрын
Hi. I have seen people do ribs and they have come out well. I'll tell you though, if you have an instant pot, I recommend cooking your ribs in that first then finishing them in the Omni. That's how I do it. Makes the best tender ribs ever! You can use the black drip ray but I find it hard to clean and it blocks air flow from underneath, so prefer cooking on a tray that is a bit smaller placed on the tank. This way air can flow all around. And yes you can put silicon mat on the crumb tray beneath. Hope this helps and thanks so much!

Any recommendations on what cleans off build up grease/stains top of omni plus?
@LanaUnderPressure4 жыл бұрын
Ha, I ahve been researching this very question fro months trying to find the best thing. So far as long as you wipe it clean it every time you use it, it's good. The tough build up is tricky. I have even used a steam cleaner and it doesn;t seem to get it back to new. So just a scrub sponge and some soap has been the best. I'm still working on it though.

Lana would you recommend a wireless thermometer for the Vortex Oven or Omnis , your thoughts on the Meater Plus or MeatStick extender

Hi. I have the Meater+. I really like it but at this point I an having connection issues and the company is working with me to fix it. If they fix it, then I would say yes, but if not then I would be hesitant to recommend them. I have not used the Meatstick so I'm not sure if they are better.

Well definitely don't get the old one because they don't sell replacement parts for the handle which falls off really easily and that's the biggest complaint. I thought I would let people know before they buy one. The new one I don't know. Unfortunately we don't have that. The way I see it, if they can't and will not replace the handle for the old one, why buy a new one with the metal handle even because to me if they're not going to back up their old product they might not and will not back up their new product either. That's just a food for thought for people who are buying this oven. Cuz the oven still works, it's just the handle fell apart and I've been trying to find some way of replacing it
@LanaUnderPressure Жыл бұрын
What a bummer. I agree the company is not one for replacement parts. In the beginning they used to send people replacement units free of charge, but once the original company was sold their customer service went a bit downhill. My mother bought the new Ninja and they seem really great.
