God, how he played in the movie " Carlito's Way "! Rather, he did not play, but lived his role on the screen. I just physically felt Carlito die when he was being wheeled at the end of the movie on a gurney.. "Dreams don't come true on their own, they need to be caught up." What strikes me most about al Pacino is his eyes - huge, dark brown, tragic. The eyes of a wise dog-a tramp, homeless, beaten by life. Many critics say that all his characters are United by loneliness. Pacino believes that what unites them is a burning desire to survive.

Pacino has made so many great movies it is hard to rank them all in the top ten. However, Michael Corleone and Tony Montana will always be the roles Pacino will be known for. Also, the movie that was never mentioned in this video is Any Given Sunday. Pacino's role as Football coach Tony T. should have been mentioned in this video as an honorable mention.

It seems you're going by the fame surrounding some of these movies and not by his performance. The Godfather is a spectacular trilogy, worthy of being in the list for sure, part of my personal list too. He was great in that but I don't think it was his best. Your honourable mentions shouldv'e been in the list. I think you're trying to impress your viewers giving them what you think they want to see. I suppose it is a subjective thing too obviously...

I liked Al Pacino best in both The Godfather (1972) and The Irishman (2019). I also liked him in Serpico (1973), The Godfather: Part II (1974), Glengarry Glen Ross (1992), Scent of a Woman (1992; won an Academy Award for Best Actor), Donnie Brasco (1997) and Insider (1999).

This list is oddly 90s centric - with 6 films selected from that decade, and 'Scent of a Woman' wildly overrated. As others have said, 'Scarecrow', 'You Don't Know Jack' (even though it is HBO, rather than a cinema release) and 'Serpico' should have been in the top 10. Nevertheless, pleased to see Glengarry Glen Ross and The Insider on the list.
