Here's some more tips for whoever wants to shiny hunt for these ones said in the vid: - Use Primal Kyogre for the ones that need Rain to be called in. Po Town is also always raining, so you can go there - Heal Block can be used to prevent recovery, but only for five turns - Unnaware can be used against the ones who can boost their stats, as this ability ignores stat boosts - Magic Guard prevents damage from Innards Out

I was hunting Beldum, and on like the 79th chain, a shiny one appeared, but so many complications arose, like I couldn’t stauts it for my life, and no pokeballs could contain it, alas, it struggled itself to death, breaking my heart. I later decided to masuda method for it, and after 500+ eggs, still don’t have it :(

I got mine after 96 sos calls. I would recommend harvest trevenant with trick and skill swap to prevent struggling, also bring either normal rotom with thunder wave or haunter with hypnosis to status it (sleep has higher catch rate but paralysis makes it stop sos calling)

Kangaskhan isn't SOS-only. It has a 1% encounter rate in Wela Volcano part. Also, where's Minior? Without knowing to run Damp, it's incredibly frustrating if you miss the shiny sparkle.

3:00 What’s funny is that while training in the route you can get beldum, I accidentally found a random encounter shiny beldum. And it took me around 5-10 beldums killing itself before I could finally catch just a regular one. So you can imagine that I was freaking out in two different ways when I found that bastard. I’m super thankful because I was able to catch it without knocking itself out, and so I named it “tears” for obvious reasons

Morelull. UGH! Here’s a tip for anyone that wants to hunt this mushroom. Bring a Contrary Pokémon with you, preferably Inkay or Malamar. Morelull know Flash which lowers accuracy normally, but if you have a Contrary ‘mon, it’s accuracy will be raised instead.

This was a really good video! A lot of strong points made towards each number, some funny jokes and just a relaxed atmosphere. I really enjoyed it! ^^ If I could give one piece of critisism for now, it would be that maybe sometimes the editing is a bit slow at times. There are a few pauses that, if cut out could help the flow of the video and make the overall viewing more dynamic. ^^ As you keep on making these you'll be sure to get better in the writing and editing altogether, but for now that's something you could maybe look into, if you so desire. well I got shiny poipole and I wouldn't consider it as really annoying. Actually the opposite. Yeee I know shiny charme doesn't affect it, but its quite easy to do. You can do so much other stuff, because you dont have to concentrate on it, because you litterally just have to press a and softreset the game. On top of that you dont have to catch it ;)

I agree with the picks, but I know a more annoying Pokemon to hunt for. Larvesta only has a 1% encounter rate in the cave of Lush Jungle and has a rare call rate. It also knows Take Down and Absorb, making it even more annoying. But imagine it calling in a shiny Volcarona, which already has a 1% chance to be called in. How crazy is that?

8:19 I'm glad I got my shiny jangmo-o before valentine's day ended, see what you do is that you put 18 eggs in the poke plegos sauna island and wait a few irl hours. The sauna makes it to where the eggs hatch with just 1 step, when you see this ! Above an egg you either click it to hatch right away or click the sign to out it in your box. Then but 5 eggs at a time in your party and 1 step after the other you hatch 5 eggs in less than a minute, no tauros needed. You can do this in both sun and moon and the ultra versions. I'm surprised not many people are talking about this

Pyukumuku is really easy! Set up a layer of toxic spikes and just false swipe it. Then when a shiny appears just bestow it a pecha or lum berry to cure its poison. Edit: I realised that safeguard pretty much destroys this method, so you could improve it by using a Decidueye with False swipe, Defog (for safeguard), Toxic and Leafage (for pp). Its ghost type also ingores Pyukumuku's Counter

A lot of the recovery moves pokemon/pokemon with annoying moves can be avoided with imprison, type:null and poipole are more annoying to hunt in my opinion because of all the text you have to mash through rather than the fact that they are full odds, than again I have been to lazy to get my shiny charm so I've SRed a lot of full odds legends, so I have grown a bit accustomed to it, and mareanie I totally agree with, I have 5 shiny corsola's and no mareanie as of yet.

SomeoneOnTheInternet Actually you're going to need Mimikyu to copycat, Recycle and Bestow a Leppa Berry. Hit it with a Scrappy False Swipe and use Reshiram,Zekrom or any Mold Breaker Pokemon to bypass the Disguise ability.

For Beldum... you could just swap the leppa berry back from the original caller pokemon, defeat it and then give that same leppa berry to the shiny beldum. it's what I did when I caught mine

I got a shiny Type: Null after 11 soft resets in the original Moon. Same happened to me in Ultra Moon. Coincidence? I think NAWT!! Reminds me of the time when on two consecutive playthroughs of SoulSilver where i got a shiny Slowpoke in the same area/tile. Damn was I lucky (evolved them into Slowking and Slowbro respectively.)

One of my shinies I'm most proud of is my Bisharp, who I named Rook. Bisharp is an interesting case in USUM, because it can only be found around Po Town, and it can only call Pawniard through SOS. But Pawniard can't SOS at all. So I had to find a Bisharp, lower its health which took a while because they're ateel type, then hope they call in a shiny Pawniard before they KO'd themself with Struggle. And I got my girl in 42 calls.

I remember Shiny hunting for Petilil in Ultra Moon. It was incredibly annoying because it knew leech seed and Sleep powder, and because of that, my false swipe lv 100 Gallade constantly got put to sleep or got it's hp drained, healing completely the Petilil, reducing the call rate. I could hunt for one in other place, but it could have stun powder, or 3 moves with 5 PP, I did got one eventually.

I would add Guzzlord to the list since you have to have a really good chance at finding it's worm whole first. On top of that, you have to constantly reset and depending on your actions in game (something event/story) either you have a cut scene you gotta deal with or the automatic cut to Guzzlord. So it makes shiny hunting for this pokemon annoying. It can be done, but it is something you really gotta have the patience for. That being said, I did SR for a shiny rowlet and it was worth it. I managed 387 SRs before it shined and took me a few days/hours. I was lucky too get it under 1000 srs since I was going in at full odds.

One of the most annoying hunts I've undergone: Larvesta SOS It's got a rare call rate, and comes with a moveset of bug bite, flame charge, absorb, and take down Take down does recoil, flame charge will eventually make it go to +6 speed, absorb recovers HP, and bug bite means it may eat the leppa Berry when trying to set up harvest. Allies called in will usually have flame body, so any physical attacks could lead to being burned. Also let's not forget it has a 1% encounter rate in the lush jungle cave only

For beldum, when it gets on 10 pp or less, knock the original caller as soon as it calls for help. The new beldum will work the same way as the original one and it'll have 20 pps

@@4evamoore190 I wasn't worried, I used the leppa/harvest method and had my haunter spam hypnosis on it. A timer ball would have been easier but i thought he would nicer in an ultra ball. Always use the harvest method, no worries of struggling

Me and a friend came up with a method of synchronize shiny hunting for shiny Beldum, and while it wasn't exactly too hard, it was a bit tedious and required quite a few Pokemon to work. But Beldum is my favorite Pokemon along with the rest of the Metagross line so it's worth it.

I got shiny beldum without shiny charm and it was hidden ability I’m really lucky! Recently I also got a shiny Rowlet without a shiny charm either check my channel to see how I reacted

Hunting pokemon with sand attack, paralyzing moves, poisoning moves, stat raising moves, and basically any of the statis effects (freezing, burning, etc) is so heckin difficult. I was hunting a pichu and hoped to all the gods it stopped paralyzing me (luckily I still got it!)

if you use a mimikyuu to SOS hunt for a kommo-o there will be no issues as the only attacks jangmo, kommo-o and hakamo have at the level you encounter them at are fighting normal or dragon so all 3 don't even touch a mimikyuu so just keep a bunch of leppa berries from poke pelago and depending on how high of a level your mimikyuu is just use swords dance for guaranteed 1 hits. im currently at around 3000 encounters though so good luck to you guys

Guys, for frillish, use a smeargle with 2 attacking moves to avoid cursed body, and have recover AND imprison so that the frillish can not use recover

Kangaskhan is the most annoying one because when I shiny hunted for it I didn’t hunt it through cubones but through other kangaskhans (1% encounter in wela volcano park) I kept the chain going for 2 days and I had lost count of the encounters from the first day because it called 1 every 8 minutes but I was determined to keep going until it shined because I’d rather lose my mind trying to call 1 kangaskhan rather than having tons of duplicate shiny cubones ( found it in the end and feel blessed ever since )

I have this experience on Pokemon who has recovering moves. I'm not shiny hunting, but legendary catching. It's Cresselia, and her Moonlight move. Hated it, but then found out a way to catch it a lot easier by giving Taunt every 3 turns to her. But you have to bring a defensive Pokemon to withstand the struggle. Then again, I forgot which Pokemon was it, but another Pokemon I tried to catch has Absorb/Mega Drain/Giga Drain with them. I used Taunt, only to find it failing. :")

I actually did hunt for a shiny Beldum, and the funny thing was that it got to the point of struggling, and was one struggle away from fainting when I actually caught it. The panic was real lol

Fun fact: When I was breeding a Salandit to use a Salazzle, I managed to somehow hatch a shiny Salandit that was female and had perfect IVs in all of the needed stats! It’s the luckiest I’ve ever been in breeding.

Goomy is actually really easy. It's always raining just outside Po Town, so you dont need to keep using Rain Dance/Drizzle

The worst feeling is when a shiny pokemon completely wrecks, walls or destroys your team. (It surprises me that a shiny Kyogre can 1-tap a level 100 Shiny Venusaur, like, how?)

My beldum sos went really well I didn’t have any problem, you can get around the take down and low call rate by taking giratina, ghost type with pressure can’t get hit with ghost type and pressure increases call rate

For pyukumuku, it's still annoying, but much less damage taken, false swipe, finish it off to take one damage from innards out, assuming it even has innards out because it still has other abilities like unaware, (irrelevant info but for curiosity out there, ignores stat boosts), if you don't find it worth it and want the encounters faster, then you can get every possible healing item 999 of each : D

I would have to say island scan Pokemon can be annoying as well because you only have a certain amount of time than you have to soft reset and if you don't get it at the certain hours of the day it's there than you have to change the time of the 3ds again 😒

I remember struggling through the entire summer of 2019 to get a shiny jangmo-o through normal encounters and phased 12 times before giving up. Last year when I finally got to shaymin’s island in bdsp via glitching the game shaymin was refusing to shine even with double hunting it so I thought ok it will take a long time, I should get another hard hunt going at the same time maybe get lucky so I pick up where I left off in the jangmo-o hunt. 10 minutes later jangmo-o shined. I felt like arceus was middle fingering me cause at that moment I wanted shaymin more than jangmo-o

Shiny Castform should be on there with goomy as it can only be called in with a weather condition and has a 1% chance of appearing. Also you can use a Pokemon with the ability pressure, intimidate or unnerve so that a Pokemon has a higher chance to call in other allies. I suggest using intimidate since it also lowers the opponents attack stat and pressure expands the opponents PP usage and unnerve stops the opponents from eating berries making the harvest method not work

One of the hardest shinies I'd say is Castform. Goomy has a 10% chance of appearing in rain, Castform on the other hand only has a 1% encounter rate.

When I was hunting rockruff I had a harvest trevenant and I used a Fearow with false swipe and Aerial ace which never misses, I used the same method for Lillipup and just to say you can false swipe the Pokémon and then switch into your desired mon with aerial ace (sand attack never misses)

Funny you had Beldum in the list as it caused me to halt my shiny hunting because I placed an extra difficulty to only use a heavy ball which was made possible in the ultra versions of the game but with the lowest catch rate possible, plus you only get a max of 2 of each johto ball in the game so even if i encountered a Beldum and both balls failed i would soft reset and start over. Beldum can self damage so use ghost pokemon, I did decidueye as it can also false swipe, and a rotom in case you want help with paralysis. After 8 very long S.O.S. attempts I finally captured a shiny beldum with a heavy ball and even had one to spare, lucky me. It's amazing to see the low chances on the catch calculator site then look at my game to see what I've achieved, now i transfered it over for a shiny team playthrough with my hard earned trophy pokemon, oddly the ball and animation are actually very fitting for beldum for being the lowest catch rate XD

Small correction: 3:34 You don't need to bring a second Harvest mon, because when you switch out the one you have, its Ability becomes Harvest again.

Yes, but even if i switch it out and send the original harvester back in, its still now missing the leppa berry to switch onto the shiny, and while you could bring something with trick or switcharoo to get the berry back from the original, it still kills the idea of "one harvest mon, one false swiper"

Me and my friends were trying to fill the Pokédex to hunt for shiny charm, and didn’t have another 3ds to trade pokemon, so we sos chained clampearl for its evolutions, and they all had CLAMP AND WHIRLPOOL. Trust me, we were healing more turns than it was actually calling in, and had to just run once since my potions were all gone

I actually had a random encounter with a shiny mudbray. No shiny charm or anything. And it was after I spent months soft resetting for a shiny start that never came.

Oh man, some of those sound totally frustrating, I've only ever gone after the more relaxed hunts, somewhat. Noibat with its supersonic & Slowpoke with yawn got frustrating, both those hunts took out a huge chunk of my day to get but after 6 hours of hunting Noibat, seeing that shiny called it, I was so happy that I thought I was going to cry. Slowpoke took about 3 hours, yawn was easier to get around & I packed like 50 awakenings so it didn't have me wanting to throw my 3ds out the window like Noibat did. When I finally got that Slowpoke, I gave him the extra king's rock I got off of a Poliwhirl & traded him over to my Ultra Sun game since I was SRing for a shiny starter in my shiny only run of that game but I chose to do Litten & at the time, that stupid glitch was happening to where sometimes when you pick Litten, your screen goes black, you can hear the music but do nothing to respond so you're forced to SR, not knowing if it's a shiny or not. I tried talking myself into doing Rowlet instead since it is my favorite of the three & I spent two weeks SRing it in Moon until I gave up & just took a female Rowlet instead but I really didn't want to go through all that & just took a random Litten, & when I got my shiny Slowpoke, I wound up having a shiny Slowking as my starter in Ultra Sun instead. About getting a shiny female Salandit, I didn't even want to bother because of the trouble I went through trying to get a female shiny Combee in gen 6. I went into the friend safari with a male Sylveon that has the cute charm ability, almost every single Combee I came across was female, I saw like maybe five males & about a hundred females so imagine my surprise when I come across a MALE shiny Combee. Yeah, named him Christian & he was given the duty of sweet scenting for horde hunting because that's all he's good for. At least that shiny wasn't completely useless, still would of liked to get a female though. Man, Lapras sounds hard to get in gen 7! I feel bad for complaining about getting a shiny Lapras. I was hunting for a shiny Sneasel in the friend safari & a shiny Lapras pops up & scares me half to death. It was around 3am & I was falling asleep, my volume was turned up & I know to listen for the sparkles, I already get mildly startled when I hear them so of course falling asleep, they more than woke me up, I just about jumped through the ceiling when that shine happened but then I realized it wasn't my target & started yelling at the Lapras to be a Sneasel instead. It was then when I realized that Lapras probably knows perish song & I panicked, threw a quick ball at it, & got lucky that it didn't break out. I didn't want this to be Electrode all over again. I already got my shiny Sneasel, sad to say I only got the one Lapras when hunting for it & even though it would be gen 6 so sadly not be Alolan born, if I managed to get a second shiny Lapras from the friend safari, I'd give it to you. In all honesty after spending weeks in that safari, getting the one shiny Lapras & two shiny Snorunt before getting my target Sneasel, I vowed to never enter that safari again, I was more than done with it. My Sneasel ended up with a terrible nature but not even that is enough to get me back in there.

Solution to number 5: Use Adrenaline Orbs. Pokémon affected by Adrenaline Orbs will call in Pokémon in the yellow health range.

When I timed myself for the shiny starters in ultra moon, it was about a two minutes and ten seconds. I got the shiny in about four days of soft resetting whenever I had free time.
