Amazing list of some great knives, for me personally a Triad or Shark lock is the way to go for super hard use that will take a beating and are practically indestructible but like you said most people focus on slicing nowadays because those type of knives are better for EDC but myself I'll never be without a hard use knife in my carry. Thanks for the great vid and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable

That's because 90% of his videos are just infomercials that he posts in exchange for free knives. It's rare to see videos that focus on knives hes actually passionate about, but they're really good when they do come up. That's what keeps me subbed.

Great list. I had my AD20 and my XM18 spanto reground by BGM and it’s a great improvement. I sent my AD15 to him a couple days ago, I’m really looking forward to getting that one back. He does good work. ✌️

I love my fatty Xm-18 with the wharncliff blade. I don't use it as much now since it's a older gen model that doesn't have the replaceable lockbar tab. I figured they would replace or fix the lockbar since it's such an expensive folder, but I had a spanto xm-18 that I used everyday for 7 yrs to the point the locking arm touches the opposite scale. I called for warranty work and they said it was the "lifetime" of the knife. Which kinda pissed me off, but it is such a good folder that a few yrs later I got the fatty I have now.

Can't argue with that lineup. If I was going to add to it, I'd maybe toss in the Chavez 229. Also the Spyderco Shaman, but I guess most of those come in under $300.

I might have included the Bestech Fairchild or maybe the Knights Elements V2 Ultra Kukri to add a bit of diversity in that selection, I guess everyone would have thier own twist

The Fairchild was close but it’s lacking some overbuilt features compared to the rest and the V2 Kukri is under $300 so it just barely didn’t make the price range but it will probably make it in my under $300 video 👌🍻🍻

4 Max version is seriously big/bad. SoCom Bravo is serious stuff as is XM-18. My next big-un purchase (I hope) to pick up the Medford USMC folder...that thing is extreme on a good day.

Do you think the Slim Midi is deserving of it's pricetag? I really want a Slim Midi, IDK exactly why but I just love the way that model looks. They're more than double my largest knife purchase to date, which leaves me kinda hesitant to dive in $700+ deep lol.

would love for you to do a review on the Civivi elementum ii button lock in V Nitro! I just ordered one in the natural G10. for some reason the natural g10 version has a higher HRC rating vs the black or OD green on all the websites I looked at.

I think they say that because if you do a Rockwell test on a coated blade the HRC can read a little lower depending on how thick the coating is and they don’t want someone like myself to run a HRC on one of their coated knives and it come back under spec. It’s either that or if the blade is to hard the coating won’t stick but I’ve never herd that before 👍🍻🍻

@@Stassa23 that makes sense! I’m fairly new to the knife world so I was curious! I got the BMKT edc 1 a few months ago and I’m honestly not a huge fan of that specific m390. I’ve had the edge roll on me frequently on the factory edge and after doing a 18 degree resharpen with my wicked edge. So I wanted to try a elementum button lock 2. I will probably keep the BMKT fixed blade in my camper and use it then. It does fit the pocket very nicely! Thank you for the response and happy holidays!

Why would anyone pay that much for a knife made in Taiwan, if you want a really good folding knife I recommend the Kershaw Speedsafe 1670 $60. Also there customer service is awesome and they send you free replacement parts.
