I agree Caius is the best monster in the format, which is why I think Divine Wrath is the most underrated trap in Edison. Its one of the only traps that can trade favorably with it tempo wise. For the decks that can support the discard cost its like pulling the rug in the main deck. Negating a monster effect is rarely dead in any matchup.

Ngl, I think the format would be actually better without Dad, obviously, but also with caius down to 1 or even 0. Caius is just too strong in literally all the ways, permanently removing a card, inflicting burn portentially, being a dark for allure, dad, dark end dragon, having 2400 meaning there is just no 1 card way to come back from getting caiusd aside from drawing prison/mifo and so much more.

@@happydeathfish2166 obviously rhats not even up for discussion, TDS, Dad and oppression are all 3 carss that should most definately be at 0 due to them being solely unhealthy for the game. But caius at 1 or 0 is smth thats not as much talked about and imo it would benefit the format as much as banning the other 3, due to there being no counters to caius and close to no 1 card comebacks, especially no generic comebacks

@@LyubovBoychuk actally, he is. Thats why is the most played card and generally speaking the strongest monster of the format. He is alwqys absolutely crushing when he hits the field, so long you dont either have 4 or 5 more cards than your opp and your board presence cant be broken by 1 caius, which is almost always the case.

But only really in very few decks, tbh, only really in fairies. Also, it cant trade with ryko, which makes trooper so good, cant run over hamster and banishing a card is not as good as milling 3.

@@Tools-yt4sk all decks that have cards that get banished or banish like chaos sorc and plague he can get in and be used or also use soul release, it can get rid of your own cards as well , or maybe necroface even

@@YohananYGO yeah, not really. He just isnt nearly as good in those decks, especially since there are no dedicated chaos decks due to the lack of generic cards that can banish ur own stuff. Hes too slow for zombies, the only real deck that could make proper use of him outside of faries or powertool plants. Plague and sorcerer are only 2 cards out of 40, for which it really isnt worth playing DAlc. He generally doesnt do anything on his own, so he is only really worth it if you constantly have cards banished, aka play more than 2 or 3 cards that MIGHT get banished. Trooper is so good because he is really flexible in a lot of decks, a beatstick that can out most of the important stuff all the while always going plus.

@@YohananYGO dad is another one-of, that mostly only comes when winning. So DAlc isnt useful there. Getting caius or running into BH does happen, still doesnt justify playing DAlc who is just slow and rarely contributes to your main gameplan. Decks that play Dark calling or miracle cant afford and dont want to play DAlc. Also, he doesnt bring any use in those decks, as you dont care about the monsters banished by those spell cards. There is a reason he has only seen use in powertool plants and fairies. In PTP he is one of the fairly few normal summons while also acting as a light for sorc and lets you grab back tomato/lonefire after they got banished by mark of the rose. You really dont have a lot of pressure with that deck meaning every card counts. And well, in fairies he is one of the many recruiterlike cards, a fairy for herald or kristya, a light for honest, your biggest normal summon and works well with soul of purity and light and freed. That is a bunch of applications all contributing to him being really good in that deck.

Maybe in the top 30? Redmed suffer from dragons being ass as a deck and there being no really good dragons you can get back. Also, no really good reliable way to get him on field withour going minus, only really with fufu, but then also only really if your opp doesnt have any recources as caius, brain, bth, tt, debris and so many more can just get rid of 1 or 2 redmed.
