For me (I haven’t seen much yet so don’t blame me): 10. Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire - 8/10 It’s a “turn of your brain for an hour” movie and I enjoyed it a lot 9. IF - 8/10 I thought it was really charming, sweet and kinda underrated 8. Challengers - 8.5/10 I didn’t enjoy it as much as other people did but Zendaya killed it in this 7. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes - 8.5/10 M O N K E 6. The Fall Guy - 9/10 I really enjoyed it and Ryan and Emily were great 5. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga - 9/10 Absolutely great movie with lots of action 4. Hundreds of Beavers - 10/10 I’m an animation enjoyer and watching this while giving old cartoon vibes, it was fun 3. Inside Out 2 - 10/10 A very touching movie with great animation 2. Robot Dreams - 10/10 A very heartwarming movie and maybe the best animated movie of the year so far 1. Dune: Part Two - 14:47 /10 Easily the best movie of the year, no questions (Madame Web still beats out all of these movies)

Austin hey, Is Longlegs review coming out any time soon? I am hearing only positive things about the film so far! With Nicolas Cage delivering a terrifying performance and one of the best of this year! with Maika Monroe also being a standout in the film apparently. I am super excited for this movie! Definitely my most or one of my most anticipated films of this year! The marketing for this movie is perfection and it seems like people are really liking or loving this film, that gets me even more excited!

Last Stop In Yuma County was like a very low budget version of Hell or High Water that I was kind of meandering through but the end of the movie was surprisingly dark and brutal which made me love it lol and I’m a sucker for films that take place with a limited cast in one central location.

Hell yeah dude. I think my taste is fairly similar to yours. While I really loved Dune 2, Challengers was just so crazily unique. It has been the movie that has stuck with me the most this year. After watching it, I felt like I had just taken some hard drugs. I was completely amped. Additionally, I have been listening to the score on a nonstop basis. I had no expectation for this movie, and I absolutely loved it. A truly special and unique experience. I don’t have a lot of qualms with your list, but I would, personally, move the first omen in for hit man. I liked where hit man went, but it didn’t feel “special” to me. I also like I saw the tv glow a bit more than you, but all of the movies you mentioned here are outstanding. Edit: Maxxxine would be in my top ten over Apes, and I am now super excited to watch Kill

I'm quite appalled by the way in which American critics and audiences usually ignore international movies, if they're not Oscar-nominated. Let's just consider last year: how many have seen great movies like Terrestrial Verses, The Delinquents, And the Party Goes on, Last Summer, Monster, Fallen Leaves, The Book of Solutions, Explanation for Everything, Do Not Expect Too Much of the End of the World, The Taste of Things or Kidnapped.

There's been a lot of good movies but few great ones. Pretty weak year so far imo. Top 3 are all 10 out of 10 for me though

Personally, I didn’t care about Dune 2 at all. I forgot about like 2 seconds after I left the theater. I liked watching it yeah but I never really cared.

2024 was kinda terrible for movies this year, so instead of a top 10, I only have a top 4. Note that I have only seen eight 2024 movies and I only liked four of them 1) Kinds of Kindness 2) Dune 2 3) Furiosa 4) The First Omen
