Here are some other awesome shows (no specific order): 1. Doctor Who 2. Mr. Robot 3. Severance 4. Rick and Morty 5. The Twilight Zone 6. The Mandalorian 7. Star Trek (Original & Next Gen) 8. The Last of Us Note: In my opinion, while the order of the list is debatable, The 100, Upload, and Altered Carbon do not deserve to be anywhere near that list. West World, Dark getting ranked above The Expanse is an absolute joke. WW was only good for oneish season and then started to completely fall off, whereas The Expanse stayed good and the only downfall is that Amazon sucks sh** and they didn't finish the story. Black Mirror isn't much of a series because it tells a series of disconnected stories, which makes it way less challenging to create since they don't have to maintain continuity. Stranger Things is a teenagers story and hardly an adult series.

What sucks about so many series these days is the series end on huge cliffhangers but don't get renewed. I've gotten into a lot of series over the last few years for them to end on cliffhangers that never get resolved. A number of great series suck you end and never get an ending. I loved Sense 8 & American Gods. I waited a season before watching them but that didn't even help. Jupiter's Legacy could have been good. It needed another season to iron out some things. It had potential but it was cancelled before it had a chance.

My favorite Netflix sci-fi shows; #1 Stranger Things (might be a bit too scary for really young kids) #2 Lost in Space (good for the whole family) #3 Altered Carbon #4 The OA (brilliant, but you have to pay attention) #5 Dark (foreign - English dubbed) My favorite Prime sci-fi shows; #1 The Man in the High Castle (this is definitely a must see. It's deep and you really have to pay attention) #2 Outer Range (only one season so far, but this one has been brilliant so far) #3 The Peripheral #4 The Expanse #5 Utopia (I actually thought it would be stupid, but it's actually pretty good. Warning, it is not for kids even though the preview seems kid friendly) My favorite Hulu sci-fi shows; #1 11.22.63 (brilliant) ---- as far Hulu originals, that's about it for decent sci-fi shows. My favorite MAX (HBOmax) shows; #1 The Last of Us #2 DMZ #3 Station Eleven #4 His Dark Materials (it's interesting, kind of an epic tale) #5 Falling Skies (it's a post War of the Worlds series. It was made for TV so it's fairly family friendly) NOTE: some of best HBOmax originals (including Raised by Wolves and Westworld) will soon be available for free on WB branded Tubi channels.

I do have to say this being top list is missing out on way too many good series. Like star trek TNG (some like deep space 9 more) , Farscape, babylon 5, stargate, maybe quantum leap as its a matter of taste, fringe, firefly, battlestar galactica. These are just from top of my head and would replace a LOT in that list. of course there is a matter of taste and there are good ones in this list but a lot of what i mentioned easily would replace half of that list. i have watched almost every scifi movie series out there and its really hard to find something i not seen at this moment.. i found a channel called DUST what got short scifi movies and a few of them are pretty good so i got a way to get my fix of scifi as its so hard to find something i have not watched atm.

Sense8 looks unwatchable because it makes no sense until 5-6 episodes. Then it hits you. Same thing for the essily best show of this list: The Expanse. You start off with 500 main characters with their own story seemingly unrelated, but when they reveal the dots and the mystery box starts to unveal then you're drawn in a rabbit hole

I'm on bed rest after an accident. Can't do much, help me out by giving me your recommendation for a great sci Fi series. Please I'm dying here. After watching The 100, Sense 8, even Upload which was just silly and a few best shows of all time (TheOA, Orphan Black, Utopia UK) I gave Between a chance. I can not get over how incredibly bad the show is. It's a Netflix Original with Jeanette McCurdy and oh my goodness, it's The Room level of bad acting except nowhere near as entertaining. Help 🆘

I think this comment made me see series "12 Monkeys". I see the similarities, but I think I liked Dark better than 12 Monkeys. I have however just seen 2 seasons. I get the impression that it is much easier to change the loop in 12 Monkeys than in Dark and I fear they might be a bit inconsistent in the way that we don't get to see when Cassie record the message that started it all and other events that we know happened at some point, but we don't get to see the curve that lead to that event. However that is something I wiil have to see when I get through all seasons.
