I think one reason Wild Force isn’t ranked higher is that it had the almost impossible task of having to follow up Time Force. The Red/Pink Rangers had big shoes to follow. Master Org and Toxica/Jindrax as villains had a hard act to follow from Ransik/Frax/Nadira

Haven't watched that many so far (keep getting into it... then getting distracted) so of the ones I have watched.... 6) Dino Charge (why do people like this season so much!) 5) Original (meh) 4) Dino Thunder (first season I watched... weird I know... but really liked it even though I barely knew who Tommy Oliver even was) 3) Time Force (watching it now hurt this one I think... just a little too 90s for me even if it was made in 2001) 2) Jungle Fury (I can see why he thinks it is so underrated, while the middle felt rushed, think that was because of the writers strike, the beginning and middle are so good it makes up for it) 1) RPM (while Gem and Gemma get a bit annoying at times, everything else makes up for it and all the other characters are basically my favorites for their type, as well as Dr K being my favorite leader)

@@endersdragon34 In fairness, I really only heavily favor the first half of Dino Charge pre-Super. Part of that was how much better it was compared to what we has to sit through in the four years prior to it. But the biggest reasons for me were the characters. The writers and producers actually allowed them to convey their charisma and feel like more complete people. To the point where even Chase, a character archetype I almost always dismiss, ended up being not so bad for me. Hope you watch the space travelling seasons too :D

Wow, I'm surprised you put S.P.D. as low as you did. While it's true that it kinda gets sidetracked with some characters who really don't incorporate into the core cast very well *cough* Omega Ranger *cough*, even those characters weren't terrible, they were just... Flimsy? I guess that it's because they didn't feel integrated enough, for a variety of reasons, most of which are fairly obvious. But S.P.D. is definitely a top 5 for me, it explores some very important ideas, and not always in a way that's super straightforward, and seeing Jack go from, not just somebody who isn't a hero, or doesn't want to be a hero, but someone who seems to be outright critical of the idea, to being a hero is amazing. To this day, it's the closest we've gotten to having a person who is fundamentally bad become a ranger and *truly* become a ranger. Even though Jack is more just neutral. To be fair, he definitely has that roguish honor type of deal in the beginning, but he doesn't really seem too concerned with the good of "The People", just the good of a person.

It's for all those reasons that I still think the argument can be made for SPD being top 5, as you said, and as I lightly touched upon during that portion of the video. But when it's the best of the best, sometimes the aspects that feel more like nitpicks to some are necessarily highlighted to create separation. SPD will always be great, but can I say it's as consistently great as the seasons above it? Not an easy question to answer, granted, and maybe there's no real right answer, but I do the best I can, lol.

Tommy (Jason David Frank) was asked by Douglas Sloan to come back to do a Power Ranger series as a favor. While JDF was a semi-regular in season 1 of Mighty Morphin, he became a regular in seasons 2,3 ,Zeo, and Turbo. These were the early years and done in Hollywood, starting with Wild Force- Dino Charge, Australia and New Zealand became the setting. JDF was paid handsomely to fly over to those locations for Dino Thunder. However that being said, I saw this season on KZbin and enjoyed it immensely. Seeing Tommy (or "Dr.O") as Connor, Kira, and Ethan call him again, on "our" favorite television show was exciting. Making Tommy again appear as the "Original" Green Ranger in Super Megaforce was fun (albeit short) leading all the "Legendary" Rangers from the previous 18 or 19 seasons.

For the record, I didn't forget about Lightspeed, and I'll explain my reasoning more clearly in part 2 of this list. But for now, it was basically a three way toss up among Wild Force, Ninja Storm, and Lightspeed. So I had to run a bunch of compare and contrasts to try and sort it all out. The short of it basically went something like this: "Okay, Max v. Chad, who really stands out? Probably Chad, but he doesn't have many lines. Kind of a toss up. But of course Eagle Queen is gonna beat out Kelsey. Carter over Cole, but how much so compared to Merrick and Ryan...?" etc etc, and all that before taking the plot points and narratives into account. Not the cleanest method, lol, but I hope it'll make more sense during the next video. Unfortunately, someone had to drop because there was no way I was leaving SPD out again.

Funny thing about KZbin is that there's actually not a clean ratio between work and monetary gain, lol. KZbin rewards creators who can constantly create, a system that more times than not overlooks those like me who need to commit hours upon hours to recording and editing and shooing away companies that STILL don't understand the Fair Use doctrine. But I also have no interest in Vlogs so that's the price I pay, lol. All that said, I will strongly consider your idea because I think it's an interesting one. As Raymund stated, it would likely be a lot less in depth, but if I made a separate video for the seasons that aren't represented in either video, that could definitely be worth it. Not sure how many people want to hear me beat up on the lower end seasons again though.

Any now and then ( try all of the seasons ) the big bad would send a monster or use crazy tricks or tech to give the rangers nightmares . When Dustin was affected by nightmares , we learn that he choose to master the power of Earth ability , because he is afraid of heights and controls his fear by doing extreme sports and like it or not that s character development . Theo had the fear of singing in public ,so character development and more of his back story . I mentioned 2 nightmares the rangers had that helped us learn more about them . It might be taken down if you aren't careful, but if you are careful it might not happen. Talking about the lyrics, what they mean, and why you like it, while only playing a second or so of the title of the song might work. Perhaps you could get someone who knows music well to discuss with, a collab. Here's "We need a hero" as an example: The song is disguised as an upbeat song, while the music is cheery, the lyrics are different. They don't seem to be anything odd at first, but with a bit of thought, it soon becomes apparent that they are about the Rangers fighting onward because the monsters won't stop, and someone has to stand strong against the seemingly unending evil. Where all they can do is fight and hope that a time will come when the monsters are all beaten. They have little choice if they want their planet to be free from the monsters, but they will keep fighting and keep dreaming of that world, and will keep trying to achieve that dream.

SPD is definitely a favorite of mine as well, but not the most favorite. Besides the more infamous lack of presence from Omega, the show sometimes would be too hesitant to use continuity of previous eps for good effect like: 1. Dismissed, which followed the episode, Samurai should have had Fowler Birdie's actions being the result of Crugar leaving Newtech City unguarded last episode. It would still be disagreeable, but better than letting him go just cause he wouldn't be blindly obedient. 2. Resurrection was okay for the most part, but that bit where Jack was chewed out, and Sky smirking at him seems out of place by the penultimate episode of the season, especially following Reflection, Part II.

interesting list, I don't agree with mighty morphing being so low on your list AT ALL, but as someone who dropped off after galaxy I am biased . The figures also took a turn for the worst in terms of quality but toys in general did from the 90's. Its amazing how the original figures with their points of articulation were $20 back in the day and now those type of figures our sold at a premium. I can't help but feel on a narrative standpoint the show took the same route. But again I am biased.

I've been thinking about a video specifically about Zords, and also about Battleizers. I might have an idea I like for the latter, but I'm not as sure about the sooner, mainly because the vast majority of Zords are interchangeable. Replace the Rescue Runners with the Overdrive Zords and not much changes narratively. But I'll likely try and make a discussion video on the topic as opposed to a true to form list so I can feel a bit more free in my expression of ideas. And regarding Dino Thunder, I love it of course, but there are 5 seasons I would praise even higher. But that kind of highlights my love/tolerate relationship with top 10 lists. I stress out over the order mainly because everyone who watches does to some degree, when I feel more at home just having a discussion about it. Which is also why I sometimes emphasize how close everything is and to not take the order as some sort of definitive statement on relative quality, lol.

Respectfully disagree on the placement of Wild Force, especially in comparison to Ninja Storm (my favorite season). I have tried to watch the season several times, and can't get into it. I dislike Cole, the Princess gets on my last nerve, and to me, the Black and Blue rangers are just forgettable. I can't judge the season on the merits of the storytelling, but unless I like the characters, I'm not going to care anyway.

IMO, Wildforce was the last season with a dark theme. It had the best theme song(although Ninja Storm ‘s is just as good)the energy of it got you pumped for it, it had the best team ups. My only issue would be that it focused too much on the red ranger, however, his history with Master .Org was well done. Master Org was really creepy even by kids show standards.

Agree about the team-ups. Truly legendary episodes. Also, the Wild Force theme song is one of the best. I do hope that Hasbro will go back to some darker storylines. PR today is too focused on targeted kids to sell toys. As a teacher, my fifth graders are watching Deadpool and playing games like Baldi's Basics. Jessica My thoughts exactly! Back then, specifically during In Space through Time Force, they were able to show dark things/mature topics, while still making it appropriate for kids. Nowadays, they’ve dumbed it down and made it too PC. A lot of non-PR fans dismiss it as being a silly kids show and seasons like everything in the Neo-Saban era prove their point! I’m a huge fan of the franchise, but the Neo-Saban era sometimes makes me embarrassed to be a fan, when I want to be proud.

I really hope our Hasbro Overlords are hearing all this. They've already proven that they are less anal about Fair Use, which is great for me and my fellow Toku/Ranger review peoples. But I fear it will all be for not if we aren't blow out of the water come February. Or at least, we get a good enough start that we can all collectively pretend Super Megaforce was a wild hallucination. I also can perfectly understand not being able to get into Wild Force. I'd say the season really finds its form in episode 3, and then goes from good to great once Zenaku arrives. But Cole is certainly not a Ranger for everyone, so I also understand not liking the season if you don't favor him, since he really is symbolic of the season's most noteworthy elements. Although, if Queen Taylor wasn't part of the ride, the whole thing would probably slide down to honorable mentions, lol.

I think Luthor is a far better villain than anyone, he may be comical a look less cunning when he was teenager, but, that's not actually true, because keep in mind he had a scroll that tell future events, he have prior knowlegde of what would happen and do you expect a condescending over confident prick will act, he leave things lay on their respective places and them wait and act like that, showing some disregard and little to no menace, confident that is the way for achieve his victory as it was foretold, he didn't felt threaten by rangers and he is a ninja, a luchador ninja, but, a ninja nonetheless, deceive looks and thoughts is all part of his job, he let others believe he was that way, to strike on the right time, in which he almost succeed taking the rangers morphing powers and everything, he deserve more credit than he receive.

Only thing I have to say is that when you compare Trent to AbareKiller.....Trent is a giant pansy. No offense to Trent but he PALES when you put him next to the doctor who gave ZERO fucks for most of his screen time in Abaranger. If you haven’t watched that Super Sentai season yet, I HIGHLY recommend it. It’s wacky and intense and heartwarming all at the same time. Not to mention what they do in episode 46.
