Not in California! ;-p From what I hear, S2 of SG and Arcane were a bust, couldn't and didn't live up their S1 (I only watched 4 eps of Arcane, just didn't grab me, go figure). I also dropped Fallout after 1 and a bit eps, even though I am a massive fan of the original games (FO1 & FO2, the only true Fallouts! ;). Yet to watch Penguin, but Mrs & I generally don't watch violents crime shows or horrors, and I can't see us enjoying it, no matter how well made it may be, eh.

@@Nostromo2144 I agree with Squid Games, it was good but it just left you hanging with a massive cliffhanger. If it release with the full story, it would've been pretty good in my opinion. Maybe with Season 2 and Season 3 back to back. Arcane S2 I agree with as well, but I still liked it quite a bit. Its still better than most shows out there. I was the opposite with Fallout. I never played the games, but after finishing the show, I ended up playing Fallout 4 completely and hope to play Fallout NV in the future. The Penguin is amazing, give it a try, trust me. Its not what you'd expect from a crime show

A man on the inside. Whata BRILLIANT show. I enjoyed it so much. Eatched it 4 times already ans I am still not tired of it. I truly hope season 2 will come quickly

Me too. My only worry is that so much of what I liked was that it was set in an assisted living home and had so much to do with the residents and the loving treatment of old age in the story. I don't know if season two's storyline will be able to have the same heart to it. In any case, if Ted Danson is the common thread, I'm in.

I loved the following series on Netflix in 2024: Delicious in Dungeon, Sweet Tooth's finale, The Gentlemen, and Bodkin. I would happily watch any of those again. I also had a good time with the Umbrella Academy's finale.

So difficult to pick favourites isn’t it!! Have not seen a couple of these, so will check them out. Loved Tokyo Vice and Sato, and I am so glad someone else enjoyed True Detective with Jodie Foster. I also liked Sugar. The series that stayed with me the most, is probably Disclaimer. A Man on the Inside was lovely to watch after that as a counter balance!

Ok. Loved Grotesquerie. Was probably not your favorite or not worthy - but as a trauma victim myself, Niecey Nash, was raw and unflinching in her performance as Lois. It went in many odd directions, but I still loved its pseudo David Lynch vibe. Pretty sure there won't be a Season 2 though! 😁

The sound quality on this video is not as great as your best of 2024 movie list video. I think it has to do with the location of the mic. Sorry to point out technical issues, but sound quality is very important to me, and the sound quality on the movie list video was superb... Literally some of the best audio I've heard in this format on KZbin.

Do yourself a favor and skip True Detective: Night Detective. Absolutely commandable performance from the leading ladies but horrendous script and rushed ending trying to ride the coattails of superior season 1. Well at least the great Jodie Foster an Emmy for it I guess.

Nothing tops Squid Game for me, this series is really made for me so obviously Squid Game season 2 is my no.1 series of the year followed by Shogun which was my no.1 for almost a year but Squid Game season 2 changed that, was so amazing again so. I really enjoyed Ted series too, really hilarious lol. would be my 3rd entry series that i loved. So these 3 are my top series of 2024. Havent seen much of a series in 2024 but has few honorable mentions series/drama that i had seen. Wow, couldn't disagree more with your take on Night Country. Season 1 of True Detective was amazing. We found Night Country laughably bad. Admittedly, some of our criticisms stem from the fact we live in Alaska, but not all of them. Women in Blue was a nice surprise. Baby Reindeer was wild and tough to watch at times but still engrossing/addictive. The Diplomat was a fave for me this season. As was The Penguin and Shrinking. We loved Season 1 of Slow Horses but couldn't make it thru this season for some reason. I'll have to give Tokyo Vice a try.

Women in Blue was a completely unconvincing series, based in no set of reality. Several entries on this list were dismal, including No one Wants This. I feel this critic is more interested in pushing his social agenda rather than actually putting a serious lineup together

it's intresting you have true detective in the list. Have not watch that season because of the bad reviews. But maybe i give it a try. You did not include the dune movie either, so i guess you don't like dune so much overall because you said "this is the best sci fi movie in decades" , strange it is not in you top 10 movies of 2024. The dune series does not hold a candle to the movies. Not a big fan of the series. But dune 2 should be in everybodys top list. You should watch the penguin, this was the biggest surprise for me, i thought it would be a ok series but it ended up in my top 3 but i would but Fallout as my best series during 2024. Now that i know everything, i recomend to everyone watch The Batman movie again then short after start to watch the penguin series. Thank me later. Why have you not review squid game season 2 yet?

My number one favorite show of 2024 is Love for Love's Sake. I found your channel through your level headed review of True Detective Night Country which is definitely one of my faves of 2024 as well along with Shogun and Interior: Chinatown. I also enjoyed all of Sofia's scenes in The Penguin, the debut/finale/only/continuing seasons of Star Trek: Discovery, The Umbrella Academy, Arcane, Silo, Constellation, and Dark Matter.
