What about the material of the racks on a touring bike are they steel or aluminum?
@StarEssences3 жыл бұрын
The majority of rear racks are made out of a durable aluminum grade.

Weak video, yet another list. Top 10 Zone obviously don‘t ride travel bikes themselves, they don‘t even understand the spec sheets the‘re just reading out. For example, the cube bike is shown with suspension fork ans derailleur/chain shift, the described bike has hub shift/carbon belt drivetrain. The footage is all taken from the manufacturers‘ pages. No genuine „Top 10 Zone‘s“ riding experience is part of the video. You can‘t be an expert for computers and all other gear and newest electronic gadgets and bikes. I can‘t imagine this video is worth watching for anyone who wants to buy a travel bike.

Tout Terrain Yes, all the others not really, also consider Koga, Santos and Idworx - most of the bikes shown in the video are gravel bikes with luggage holders and racing handlebars these are not comfortable heavy load long range touring bikes.. Also mountain bikes with panniers are no touring bikes, all these bend over geometry bikes cause back, wrist and neck fatigue over longer distances - touring is about comfortable upright positions and most of them have headache and maintenance free drivetrains with belts..

I definitely recommend the bikes of the Polish company Unibike: the Unibike Atlantis GTS model and the Unibike Globetrotter GTS. The bikes have been equipped with the best components. Intended for long journeys.

Strange list !!!!!!!! When i think Touring bikes only 2 things come to mind - Environmental conditions and reliability . Belt driven and internal hub gearing ESSENTIAL
@andrewford803 жыл бұрын
Essential? Dude, people tour on anything. Get that hyperbole out of here

@@andrewford80 sorry, long distance touring then.

Unless your going to bike tour in really remote places, most people like the comfort that a std drive train can be fixed or parts replaced in any bike shop around the globe. Hub and belt drives are usually bomb proof, but not essential to bike touring, and around 1500 USD to fit. That's a lot of Cappuccinos..

This is all bollocks. It's just a compilation of stuff by people who review all sorts of shit, with a fast talk-over and slightly annoying music. A good place to start, if you're interested in a cycling adventure is "Cycling About", on KZbin. There are others too of course.

Trek #1 ?? Really??....no mudguards, no bar end shifters, No Deore anywhere and no Mondials, no Brooke's saddle. Look at most Proper touring bikes outside a cafe in the Alps and they have nearly all of the above.
