Hi. Budapest also has several metro plans. the M1 would be extended and renovated, connected to the M2 and the Gödöllő and Csömör local railways (formerly to Rákoskeresztúr városközpontig there was a plan for a wing line but it was eventually removed) the M3 metro which is also included in the Cabbage county as well as the international airport would extend the M4 metro to the beautiful and beautiful but also him would be extended towards Bosnyák Square and South Buda. Anyway, I'm glad that foreign videographers also deal with the Budapest metro line 5.
@indigofuture2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I know. The connection between the M2 line and the suburban railway lines was left out of the video only because I didn’t want to complicate it. And in this video, we tried to present projects that are about building new subway lines. Also, I did not consider the connection of the M2 line to the suburban railway line to be of such great importance, because only the connection over the Fehér út and then a short underground section is so interesting. However, he is right that this is also linked to the project. However, the construction of the airport section of the M3 metro failed, so we did not include it in the video, and the end of Káposztásmegyer is not certain either. The completion of the M4 metro is not certain either, as there is no budget for it.

The Dublin Metro (or MetroLink) should be on this list. It will be Ireland’s very first underground metro and will consist of a single metro line going from the city centre to the suburbs in north County Dublin via the airport. It will give Dublin airport a rail connection for the very first time and have automated trains like most modern metros. The minister for transport in the Irish government just announced this week that the project will start construction in 2025 and go into service in 2031 or 2034. 🚇🇮🇪 I think our city would strongly benefit from a underground metro system like every other European city. There are some areas in Dublin that desperately need rail link to the city centre, especially the airport. But this transport project has also been controversial because past governments have been promising a metro for Dublin for over twenty years but it still hasn’t materialised which is why some Dubliners have lost faith in it. There have been major setbacks and delays caused by incidents like the 2008 financial crash and the COVID-19 pandemic, but poor planning may have also contributed to the delay. The government have wasted millions of euro planning and redrafting the metro project and haven’t even put a single shovel in the ground. It’s just laughable. Not to mention the official cost of building the Dublin Metro just jumped from €4bn to almost €10bn. 😱 Our government should just get a move on a build the bloody thing. Dublin has waited far too long for a metro. This could’ve and should’ve been built years ago. 🙄

Glasgow's and London's are basically just new stock, so nothing really remarkable. Yet nothing about Paris' massive 200 km extension projects, or Athens' brand new line 4 under construction, or Thessaloniki's complete new network (the first in Europe in over a decade). And yet two extensions of Budapest metro are worth mentioning in two spots. That vid sucks big time, man.
