Great list guys, a few of these will probably be on our top 10 list for the year as well soon. I was surprised by how much I liked cartographers actually, tried it first at GENCON.

Im sure it was mentioned on other videos before. Its more editing time, but adding one more picture of the actual game (being played) is really helpful. Just few seconds is enough. I have seen most of the games shown here, but being quite new to the hobby its really helpful to find new and interesting games.

Tapestry feels a little like a sandbox and it is hard to explain. That's where I feel like it's strongest as a "civ" game. The story element of your civ is strong. And it *is* weirdly compelling, I just want to keep diving in.

Unmatched is a Super Rad game. I'm glad to see it in your guys's Top 5. I'm really looking forward to the other possible expanded characters. You forgot to say that the game boards are double sided with different maps on each side. It really changes the strategic movement of the characters. Great video guys

My Top 10 for 2019 is probably incomplete (mostly because I haven't played Marvel Champions) but it would definitely include Wingspan, Cthulu: Death May Die, Unmatched, Horrified, and Just One.

Bagged mine up and everything fits. I put the meeples all together in one bag and put every player’s components into their own bags as well. It’s a tight fit, but the lid closes all the way. And everything is sleeved with thick sleeves. I had everything separated by component previously and everything still fit.

Having a hard time deciding between Unmatched and Marvel Champions! Anyone have advice on how to choose?

That's tough because they are so different. The cool thing about Unmatched is that if you really liked just one of the sets they come with their own board so each thing is playable on its own vs. having to buy all in from the base set. Don't know as much about Marvel Champions but I feel like there's room enough for both. One is co-op the other competitive and so on.

Really wanted to like Mansions of Madness and LoTR Journeys in Middle Earth but the second the App is required I'm out. I play board games to take a break from electronic games (which I also love) and I don't want to be looking at a screen. Also I don't have a cell phone so there's that.

Really weird that you are playing Tiny Towns with the cards! It's an alternative rule! The real rule goes that each player on their turn CHOOSES what resource is selected by all players.

willbeplayin it‘s strange in the german rulebook the variant is choosing and the standard rules say cards. 🤔 Tested both and liked it better when played with the hammer but it makes the game much meaner. 😈

Just played Paladins last night and got a score of 67...highest score I have ever gotten! It’s true you have to pick 1-2 things and FOCUS. Otherwise you will end up with a pathetic score.

Chris Musix this is overblown. There are only four years on record that can even compete with 2019, and thats 2015-2018. I’m sure people have nostalgia over the old years, but when you really look at the lists, these last five years just have too much to offer. I think it’s debatable that 2019 is even necessarily weaker than 15-18, but it’s plainly superior to even great years like 2012. I think it will be fair to say we are in a “silver age” when we get a year that is comparable to 2014 and back, which certainly isn’t 2019.
