The way Hrithik was talking to Diwan on the phone, I couldn't help but notice the subtle attempt to mimic the way Don talks. The breathy voice, the pauses, the slight nuances in his speech seemed very SRK-like. He could've gotten away with not putting the extra effort but he chose to do it anyway. Cameos in Bollywood movie sphere has been rooted deep. Initially it was a great feeling to be surprised at the movie theatre to see an encounter with the cameo stars. But in recent times be it a publicity stunt, marketing gimmick or just media obsession with star's life the surprise element in a cameo appearance is simply fading. Even now the movie trailers features the cameo star and discussing the details shown in a trailer nowadays is altogether another paradigm for Jammy😂. Regardless of that through the years I have adored SRK and his rather amazing cameo performances. Be it Ae Dil Hai Mushkil being the only good moments in the movie along with the music to the oldest one that I remember har Dil Jo pyaar karega. His cameos are one to watch.

I am not sure when the trend of surprise cameos actually began but the one that completely caught me off guard was Akshay Kumar in Dil Toh Pagal Hai. There was no hint of him being part of the movie. So when KKHH was released a year later, Salman's extended cameo wasn't a big surprise also cos unlike DTPH word was already out after the initial few shows of KKHH that Salman was in the movie.

I personally think Naseeruddin Shah in znmd did a fantastic job as a cameo. It really helped the character of Imraan to solve his conundrum and look forward. Not only that but also his character was a very tough one to play as a cameo. More than that in a fast pace movie like znmd and in a character like imraan that scene really bought a sense of stagnation. The thing which i loved about it was just the development of a character through another character was a brilliant thing also both Imraan and Salman were complicated character to begin with and Tbh i really loved it.
