Sales don’t define success, the Beatles outsold Michael Jackson but who are the Beatles? *NSYNC is wayy better, backstreet’s ballads are super cheesy and their up tempos are just musical pyrotechnics, *NSYNC were more successful in the 2000s and backstreet boys haven’t had a hit since 2001 at the very latest.

Same!! My locker and the front sleeves of every binder had magazine covers and posters even collages of JB, Nick Lachey, and Jesse McCartney. I also had a half naked (shirtless) photo of Nick Lachey on the inside door of my locker (and I went to a RELIGIOUS school). No one cared, even the Dean of the school walked by several times and never said anything. But one time his wife walked by and gave me that look and I knew to take it down lol. Her look was a mixture of “do you think this is appropriate for this school” and “don’t make me say it” 😂

Boy Bands denote to a group of singers who can dance. If they are primarily known for their dancing and vocals, then it's a Boy Band. Pop Bands are groups of musicians that can sing and are known for playing instruments. Jonas Brothers is a pop-rock band, Joe is primarily known for lead vocals only while his brothers back him up on instruments with Nick chiming in on vocals too. The Backstreet Boys don't play any instruments and all of the members are both singers and dancers.

NSYNC is the best because of their Choreography and Harmony in just short period of time before Justin Timberlake went so big but BACKSTREET BOYS is the Most Successful, Biggest, Greatest, Famous boyband of all time but I respect NSYNC that in 90s they have the best Harmony and Choreography

I love Mcfly, but I don't think they got that popular in The USA(most/many of watchmojos lists are from an American perspective, but I think, if WatchmojoUK did a similar list, they'd be on it), but they at least were in the Linsay Lohan movie Just My Luck around 2006, where they might have gotten a bit of attention. Westlife at least had a popular charting hit in the USA and I think, they just couldn't overlook one of the most succesful boybands in Europe(Take That would be considered mostly a 90s boyband).

Backstreet Boys were bigger in the 90s, but you could argue they were still bigger in the 00s. *NSYNC here in the US were at their absolute apex and more popular than Backstreet Boys in the early 00s. But on a global scale, Backstreet Boys were unmatched. They were always a worldwide phenomena. *NSYNC were famous in some areas of the world like Europe & South America but their strongest market was here in North America. Also, Take That do belong on this list. The group reunited in the 00s without their breakout star Robbie Williams and completely eclipsed their 90s peak with their latest material. They got even bigger & better than their heyday back in the 90s. Plus Both BSB & *NSYNC are 90s boy bands but are included in this list so Take That should definitely have a place on this countdown. And if anything, every group from BSB, *NSYNC, New Kids, Boyzone, Westlife, Five, One Direction and even Boyz II Men have a mutual respect for Take That because they're the most legit group of songwriters/artists/performers.
