Have you ever heard of some lunatic trying to destroy other examples of the rare car he owns in order to increase the value of the one he owns? There are so many nut jobs (among the even more plentiful sane people) in the car world, surely some 'genius' has hatched that plan at some point? I vaguely remember a few cases of someone legit just trying to buy ALL examples of a certain rare car, but that's not illegal nor nefarious. Perhaps one was a bit iffy as I recall him trying to conceal the number of those cars he had in his possession though... But I can't remember which cars those cases were about, it was such a long time ago.

I see forgotten super cars and impounded super cars all the time in dubai because its a country that is soooooo rich with much of that wealth coming from tourism (which the flashy cars help with) and oil (which is owned by a few people that own it all).
