Why must every situation like this, come back to slagging off SJW's? *SMH* I'm often accused of being a SJW, for the beliefs I express. Yet, I do not condemn Liam for what he said. Hating on ALL SJW's in this situation, is just as stupid as ALL those who are so quick to label Liam as "racist". I certainly applaud Liam for being honest enough to tell his personal story, and expressing his thoughts and feelings from that particular point in his life. And for admitting that he was wrong, in letting that situation distort his frame of mind at that time. We ALL are GENUINELY GUILTY of having at least one or two irrational and improper thoughts throughout our lives, no matter how pure and perfect we like to think that we are. And if you don't think that you have never hurt or offended anyone, ever. Then you are not being honest with yourself. It's the people who thrive on nastiness and hate almost every single day, that deserve to be harshly condemned. Those who never have a care, for those who may be hurt or offended by their constant hateful words and actions. NOT the genuinely good people who never intended to be so malicious and cruel towards others in the first place.

Or because they say things that rwnj's don't like, too. As far as I'm concerned, there are morons on both the far left and far right. That's if you want to be totally honest about the entire pathetic situation. But hey.. you can choose to be an ignorant moron all your life, pretending that one side is worse than the other. And you can be a stupid political puppet, getting sucked in by the b.s political game of right vs left vs right. But then you just become one of the sheep. One of the dumb robots, who mindlessly follows the pack. A dumb little pleb who gets fooled by any stupid politician that plays them like a fiddle. If that's how you ignorantly choose to be, Alexander, then you are a part of the problems with the world these days. And you are genuinely nothing more than a mindless nobody. Just because they’re famous that doesn’t mean they’re flawless and we shouldn’t expect them to be and then turn our backs on them when they make their first flaw. Some people (*cough* Logan Paul *Cough*) deserve their hate, to an extent. But some people are given even more hate for one slip up and are constantly knocked down by that each time they try to continue their lives. Imagine if it was you going to maybe buy a coffee from the shops and everyone starts calling you a racist for one controversial thing that might not even be that bad. No way Glen hoddle..so I'm disabled for something I did when? F*ck off. As for David Ike he's just off his head, so let him be. Liam Neeson I actually admire rather than hate. He was trying to show he wasn't the saint he's been portrayed as. People do stupid things when younger... even the late great David Bowie admitted when he was young he actually was in a white supremenist group for a wee while, but soon turned it around and saw the light (as they say). I mean I'm suprised not to see Mel Gibson on here! The anti-semitism he came out with and frenzied extreme Catholicism was something else! Still I suppose people do deserve a second chance... but I do get annoyed with the "it was taken out of concept" bullsh*t they come out with... I mean I've said some stupid things in my life (I don't think I'm the son of god.. coz I don't really believe in god lol). So I'd like to think I could say sorry.. admitting it and get educated on the subject or just see it's plain wrong and say sorry! Those who attack Liam Neeson haven't got a clue what it was like in Northern Ireland back in the days which he is referring to. We were in the height of the troubles. There were very few foreigners in our country. There were some chinese but next to no black people. We were on our own, nobody wanted to come to Northern Ireland as they were afraid. If you saw a black person walking down the street, it would nearly have made the front page of the Belfast Telegraph it was so rare. In those days it was common to call black people by the 'n' word and no one blinked even when it was said. When, therefore, the incident which Mr Neeson described took place, it is absolutely no wonder he had the reaction which he did. We are all so scared now of offending and are all politically correct, but unless you lived in our country and suffered the way we did in the troubles, then I'm afraid you have no true right to condemn the man.

Cold Pursuit is still #6 at the box office and Liam Neeson has SIX movies in production. I hardly think his career is ruined. Way to cash in on the controversy though. Well done. I bet you made this list for just him.

As a black person, Liam Neeson gets my respect for his admission, which he didn't meet to make. He was sharing a story about revenge, related to a film he was promoting and used his own experience illustrate his point. Yes, it was horrible, but I have much lesser skeletons in my closet that I'd *NEVER* admit to.

@sterlingsilver59374 жыл бұрын
I don't believe you're black. Your speech pattern is kind of telling. You sound like someone who is white trying to speak for a black person. I may be wrong but that's my conclusion after reading your comment. I find it interesting that Liam Neeson is getting so much for support. It's almost as if people are not considering what he said and are supporting him because they are a fan of his work in film... I don't know that he is a racist but it's definitely interesting that there is 95% or more support for him scene in the comments section. It doesn't seem to me that people are being objective about the situation.
@Michelle_Schu-blacka4 жыл бұрын
@@sterlingsilver5937 That's interesting. You don't think I'm black because of the way I type. I'm not really sure what I can do to rectify that ... Maybe I need to sound more ignorant? People are always telling me I sound too posh. In any case, the comments defending Liam seem quite racist, but the issue is that it was a really stupid thing that he did all those years ago, which he recognises and accepts, and the experience tied into the film he was promoting. I've been a bully, I've been a homophobe, I've been antiemetic, and that was a choice I made and I don't know why. I'm 100% not those things now because I grew up and realised the flaws in my bigotry, but the fact that I was those things doesn't mean I'm those things now or that I have no remorse about my actions. Liam Neeson did pretty much the same thing and I think it's pretty cool that he can admit it.

@oldenweery75105 жыл бұрын
Yes, he stated that it was 40 years ago and he was overcome with rage that he soon regretted and has regretted it ever since. IMHO, his mistake was in saying anything at all. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone"--and he's still carrying the guilt from that sin, n'est pas?
@TheEpic225 жыл бұрын
Matt Prior He should use the opportunity to really help people understand why what he did was so wrong. I don’t think anyone should be hating him for it, but he didn’t do a great job demonstrating he even knows how wrong what he did was.

TheEpic22 INTELLIGENT people could see where Liam was coming from, in discussing his story, his state of mind and how he genuinely felt bad and wrong for his thoughts and behaviour at that time. Unfortunately though, no amount of explanation will get through to some ignorant people out there, who simply chose to hear or see a twisted perception of what Liam said. And just wanted to see or hear it as "racism", in their own twisted minds. And INTELLIGENT people can also see, how some on the right are ALSO using this situation to their own pathetic advantage, too. As yet another reason to make it into a political argument. And slagging off all on the left. As if the only people who are defending Liam, are apparently only people on the right. The entire situation has been blown way out of proportion, for all the wrong reasons. Too bad some people will NEVER learn to not be so hasty, to overuse the label of "racism". And too bad some people will always sadly use such situations, as an opportunity to play out the right vs left game, which is orchestrated by outdated politicians and wannabe politicians.
