I run a devils deck with blood moon and chaos moon so sometimes my devils are stronger and sometimes it wipes my board

I play thieves auction in my izzet deck (Neera Wild mage), and i've yet to meet a single person to scoop to it, most of the times (in my experience) people have fun swapping stuff around trying to mesh what they have with what others have, though i do understand why it is annoying to auction off lands, though i've also yet have anyone try to steal lands because most people leave them for last, and i do always make sure to let people know that the deck is extremely powerful and wins randomly with cards like thieves and other big bombs

This past weekend i ran a Jhiora, timeless innovator deck in a cEDH tournament that had both Blood Moon and Back to Basics. I resolved a Back to Basics in a pod with TWO tymna/kraum blue farm players. Its great until they get their dockside and can get from under your thumb

Yeah, very very very rarely do I see anyone scoop in a cEDH game unless its for salt reasons. Honestly most of the cards on the list here arent even that great (if playable at all) once you get up to that level 😂 diesnt stop me from packing B2B in my cedh list as well just in case though 😉

Ive come darn near close 😂 but it was a game of cedh and there was prizing on the line. Had to stick it out until it finally clicked for him 😭 Tatyova + Retreat to Coralhelm combo line, Words of Wind, had bounced everyones field of permanents except my own, had infinite Zombies from Field of the Dead, Mystic Sanctuary gave me infinite counterspells, like the game was over lmao i asked the table politely after explaining the combo if i we could accept it and move on rather than making me go throuhh the process of sorting out all of the lands from my deck to the field, sculpting a final hamd before passing, that whole bit. Just basically asking if i could avoid sorting out my entire 100 card deck 😅 one dude refused saying "theres still a chance we could stop you".

@AvidHerpetologist My situation was very basic, I attacked with a trampler that was blocked by Magma Phoenix, the excess damage was lethal. The whole table had to spend like 5-10 minutes telling the guy that his Phoenix doesn't get to go to the graveyard and boardwipe before I decided it just wasn't worth the hassle.

As someone who strongly loves chaos cards, I would absolutely never scoop to a scrambleverse or Thieves auction. The game just turned into "Who loves their kids the most" and I love watching people struggle to get their shit back.

Who the hell is scooping to these cards? I have run/currently run/have played against every one of these cads, I"ve never scooped or seen anybody scoop to them. I currently run Humility and Armageddon, nobody scoops. Remember kids, interaction stops bad things from happening.

Remember that not everyone scoops period lol I generally dont scoop to anything outside of blaitant lies about what power level we play at but edh is a casual format for a lot of players and not everyone wants the experience of playing against Armageddon. Thats why its generally a good rule of thumb to have the Rule 0 convo so you dont have to worry about it. For me, as long as everyone is honest and I can bring out a deck thats appropriate for the level people want, its all good 👍 i keep everything from super casual to cedh on me when i go out to play, just in case.

@@AvidHerpetologist yeah I usually ask what power level people are playing at, or generally glancing at their commander will give me a good idea and I'll pick a deck accordingly. Luckily, most people in my town will complain about land destruction, but won't scoop. I tell people they have to kill me, I refuse to scoop

@KrayZieTyler yeah lol im a "show me the win con" kinda player personally 😅 especially in storm situations, ive had all manner of playgroups and usually people recognize certain cards are guna be the linch pin but if you havent shown me how my life hits 0 yet the game is still goin haha 😂 ive seen plenty of storm players combo off and ultimately fizzle. One guy i used to play with ran Zada and his main win con was making people concede by playing Fiery Gambit and copying it some obscene number of times. Always made him play it out, and suddenly it wasnt "teehee funny" anymore 😅
