I lived in Western Australia for just over 30 years. I came into contact with a lot of refugees/asylum seekers who claimed that the would be killed if they returned to their country of origin. Eventually they would be accepted into Australia and given residency. They would be given preferential treatment by the Australian government ie housing, jobs, health cover etc. After a few years they have saved enough money to take their family back to their homeland for a holiday. I have a problem with this.............

I'm aware that these people do not represent the entirety of the population in India, but there are so few positive examples of the people and the country in the media. 75 percent of the Internet and phone based scams originate in India. Despite it being 2024, honor killings and arranged marriages are still a huge part of the culture. Poverty is absolutely a huge problem. Most areas in larger cities are unsanitary and dangerous. The local andr state government are corrupt. So I get why people want to dip.. they want a better life for them and their families. But the majority just bring more crime with them and put extra strain on welfare services. There's no easy way of improving the immigration process with the current policies. Everything needs to be overhauled and travelers should be vetted more thoroughly. /

@@krawlb4walking802 Germany and many European countries were reporting the same thing …people coming in from many Islamic countries, claiming that they were fleeing war, were in fear of their life if they went back, that they would be persecuted etc…..but the countries they came from were peaceful, there was no war…. And within a few years of being in Germany, they were taking vacations in their home countries , traveling back and forth, going back to their home country to celebrate family celebrations like birthdays , anniversaries , to marry and bring their wife into Germany ……. Also there were groups of people in European countries, the UK who were teaching the “ asylum seekers “ how to cheat the system , to claim they were in fear of their life if they returned home , what kind of stories to tell about how they were abused in their home country , how to claim the most benifits, how to claim that they were under aga, were children when they were not children, how to say that their extra wives were cousins or other relatives….. (were single parents so they could claim benifits and that money would be turned over the the husband) . These people were members of pro migrant groups.

Yeah i can’t stand him and he eventually passed immigration then UK offered him accommodation and he was disappeared. He is a liar and illegal foreigner and if he committed any crime it would be very difficult to even catch him. I wouldn't be surprised if he was at risk of being killed, but not for the reason he said. He probably bought all those smokes on credit and now is going to go back to the people he got them from empty handed. That's kinda his own problem though, don't front if you can't pay it back. I know a guy from Pakistan who said him and his friends were given phones as children and told to hang out at a certain location and call them if the police went by and say "They went left" or "They went right" and they'd be paid for it. Turns out the guys were oil smugglers smuggling oil from Iran. One day his friend fell asleep and missed the police go by. A truck was seized, the drivers were killed for losing the cargo, and the smugglers killed the sleeping kid. Smugglers don't play around with lost cargo.

We get a lot of nursing staff coming from Nigeria who have nursing certificates but no skills. They seem to be kind and caring people so they can make it a day or two but once the head nurse take then to show them their duty . So some places offer them jobs as caters & have them attend CNA classes ,once they have that on their visit permit they can put in for a green card. Other countries have great nursing schools & also cna ,in the US it’s only a dream job at first or unless a person love the job. It’s hard & not great hourly pay unless you get a lot of ot.

Anyone eligible to get government assistance or financial support due to their asylum/refugee status, of stable health, should be required to volunteer in local charities while they are on assistance. They get work experience while being on assistance, are able to give back to the community, find opportunities to engage and assimilate with other people. This work experience can help them find the right employment when they're ready and able.
