@@JohnClark-sl7ps omg that's brilliant!! I can't believe they fell for it :P
@ralphrepo2 жыл бұрын
@@JohnClark-sl7ps Yes, I remember those cases. They seriously should set up more stings like that as it captures revenue from potential fraudsters as criminal proceeds and more importantly, drains potential law breakers from doing business with the genuine underground sham certificate organizations. Once this type of news gets out, dishonest people would be reluctant to ever do business with sham schools as they don't want to be cheated, and more importantly be blacklisted for at least 10 years from ever applying again. But all was not smooth with the process. ICE finally settled a class action suit because many of the students said that they had been tricked by brokers (who knew that the schools were fake) but had told them the schools were genuine. The students that came were subsequently given opportunities to look for and enroll (if qualified) into legit schools, and ICE agree to pay about a half million in legal fees for them, without admitting wrongdoing. This was the second such op on record for ICE. They just need to rework the details to avoid the legal issues, IMHO. It's a good trap.

@Joy Back uhm..... what? LoL. My comment was praising the border agents. I dont need to watch a documentary that is filmed in my backyard. The border agents here are very VERY kind to those the RESCUE. The ICE detention centers are where most of the negative issues happen. There is zero space and hundreds of detainees to only a handful of guards. While it is in no way an excuse for treating anyone horrible. Which DOES happen but you are right when you say the nice border agents outnumber the bad. The documentaries and video clips show a tiny bit of the reality. And are edited to tell whichever story *they* want. If I went inside and filmed for just an hour I could put whatever spin on the pictures negative or positive. Which obviously can spin whatever narrative.

People who employ illegal workers make me sick. They know they’re illegal and desperate for money to send home OR to make a life in Britain, so they pay them pennies compared to a legal worker. Fair enough if you want to fine the illegal workers, but if an illegal worker is fined £2000 for example, the person who employed them should be fined the same amount for EACH worker detained. So if there were 5 of them that would be £10,000.

The employer should be fined whatever he saved compared to employ legal workers. The money should then go towards unemployed people in the UK to help them find work, study or rehab.

As for that young lady, well, she definitely is amazingly beautiful. It is a shame that she, and her family in the past, seems to want to scam the system. I always wander why they mention you should've booked an open ticket. I've never been able to find anywhere when buying a ticket online that has the option of buying an "open ticket" It's either one way or return. I know they exist but nowadays you have to book them through the rare travel agent which have dissappeared. And cost alot more money than if could do it online. Question is why is it not an option to buy an open ticket booking online. This day and age you'd assume it was an obvious option to have.
