yup it was both of them and hayden played it well but in this video he does take some of it away from ciera and makes her seem like she lacked agency so he just did what the ciera fans do but with hayden when they both deserve the credit as well as the other three playing poorly by pretty much telling ciera she was 4

tim tbh I don't think Ciera deserves much credit. She had to have it hammered into her head that she wasn't in Tyson's final three until she realized she wasn't and had to make the only move where she could have a chance to make the finals. And in her later seasons I think she's definitely allowed fan worship to get to her head and think she's some fantastic player or something and became an even worse player at least imo.

I don't think Ciera would win this season honestly. She really can't ride home about the vote against her mom. And this move ultimately didn't do much for her anyways unless Monica swayed. It was Hayden's move through and through.

The tribal council when Cirie went home, the vote was crazy, but the tribal council was not. Plus, Zeke's tribal council was not that crazy because it turned from a tribal where everyone was shaming Varner to everyone just talking about their emotions and reactions to that.

Malcolm and three Amigos was one of my favourite ever moves nearly! It was so close to being perfect, he had to show the hidden immunity idols before tribal to the majority 7 could turn on each other, maybe someone realized there on the bottom, then there was even a chance to bluff and not use them. Definitely exciting doing it at tribal, but didn't really help there cause, because like you said didn't allow the 7 to turn on themselves..

Peridiam I like the order, however I would never consider a Tribal from Game Changers. That season was awful because of poor casting and too many game-changing twists desired by fate that ruined the authenticity of Survivor. Yeah, Malcolm and Cirie got voted out in an interesting style, but it was all from a string of bad luck from the stupid legacy advantage to the two tribe Tribal Council. To me, interesting Tribals that are crazy happen from the players changing the game not the game changing the players. Also, Big Brother is very similar to Survivor, but is in no way more complex or superior. I always have called Big Brother a wimp version of Survivor where things get very personal. But don’t get me wrong, Hayden was a phenomenal player.

I'm so glad you're giving Ben the credit he deserves! So many people think he's "the worst winner ever" because they're salty that he got so many favorites out. But in reality, he was the only person who could keep a fucking secret and he used it to his advantage to get HIS biggest threat out of the game. You have a great way of making these lists, and looking at every aspect to create your rankings. I do have a suggestion though. Verbally, you say "Number ___, when this happened," but it would be nice to see some type of sidebar or visual title that says the same thing. It not only makes it feel more "Top 10"ish but also gives viewers a visual reminder that they're seeing a new number and makes the video run more smoothly. Great thumbnails, by the way. :3

Honestly I agree with the recency bias claim. While I don’t think #1 is bad, it is odd it topped so many iconic tribals. I think you should’ve let it rest a few seasons maybe because I already lost steam whereas I do agree #2 is still golden to this day

I imagine that while finding these clips you come across a few funny/interesting moments between players, maybe when you come across them you should think about pulling and compiling them. You'd think there'd be heaps of those compilations but there's really not and they always do well virality-wise, and of course it's just interesting to see the way people interact, especially under weird circumstances like playing on survivor haha. Just something to think about man, always enjoy your stuff.

I really like how this Top 10 took the entire tribal council into account, not just the result. It's the same way I would do a Top 10 "Tribal Councils." It also explains why all the tribals on the list are from more recent seasons. I still think Erik's vote out in Micronesia, as well as the Tyson and J.T. blindsides in Heroes vs. Villains COULD have made the list, but I understand why they don't. Overall, it's a really great list! P.S. Rustle Feathers is my personal #1. Glad to see it so high

I agree, but I also think that it was crazy for all the wrong reasons. It wasn’t actual gameplay but just an ugly personal attack that was disgusting, as we witnessed one man’s world come crashing down in one moment. Although it was nice to see everyone immediately jump to Zeke’s defense, and for them all to vote out Varner immediately.

I see where you're coming from on this list, and although I might arrange the numbers a little differently, I definitely don't disagree. I also don't think it's recentcy bias, I think the show wants the tribals to be crazier, and this list is craziest tribals, not "best" tribals (which I think would be a better list to include some of the more "classic" moments like Erik giving up immunity). The current era is often referred to as the "Big Move" era, and you even say that in the video, mostly because Probst says it A LOT, but I think due to all the craziness it's better to refer to the current era as the "Live Tribal Council" era.

I agree that in the tribal Hayden did the best job of pitching his case and helping himself the most, I feel like that only acts as a testimate to just how amazing Tyson's game was. Even this tribal counsel was weighted in Tyson's favor. Katie goes home, that's a win for Tyson, but what a lot of people forget about this is that Ciera going home is also a win for Tyson. If Ciera goes home, Tyson, Monica and Gervase still have numbers. Going against Tyson is generally an uphill battle

I think the Malcolm move has its pros, in terms of telling them to vote Phillip. If they were going to try and work with the main alliance, showing them that they could work together is a key. If they don’t reveal it and then the bottom person gets a vote, that makes them 4 vs 5, which means one more easy vote next week.

it ended up being 2 easy votes next tribal because the group never had to really fracture. If they don't say who they are voting for and it ends up 4-3, then the 2 people who are left could join them and they are up in numbers 5 v 4 at that point. Kind of a hail mary but that would have been their best shot maybe.

Hey Peridiam, I just discovered your channel last night and watched every video. I have a possible suggestion for a future video after watching this one. I noticed every tribal in your top 10 was a recent season, which is hard to argue against since tribals have gotten much crazier in recent years. However I think it would be awesome to see another top 10 tribal council video with tribals from the original seasons, mainly the ones without idols. I would love to see your opinion on tribals that were crazy but not as crazy as they've become. I love your videos and look forward to the next one

The best thing about modern Survivor is the revamping of the tribal council. There was a very solid stretch of time where the players would just get to tribal, answer a few questions from jeff, and then go vote. Nowadays, players have really taken tribal into their own hands, fighting for even the slightest saving grace for their own games if they think they might be in trouble. Not to be ignored is the fact that Jeff is more than happy to sit there and let them do it, watching in stunned amazement as the players mold the game and narrative around them. It creates amazing moments, exciting gameplay and just downright good tv.

#1 is a great tribal, but should've been #10 tbh. It wasn't too crazy compared to other tribals, it wasn't anything unforeseeable, and I DO think there's some recency bias. Ciries tribal in game changers or Parvatis double idol play in HvV should be up there. I know they're both talked about too much, but there's a reason for that.
