The fact that a number of these places closed down in the 90's is disturbing. Like that's pretty recent.

I've slept in a building that was made as a rope factory, made into a munition production facility, then made into an asylum, then a TB ward, then finally a hostel. Staying the night was cheap, if unnerving, since the place was externally derelict. Still, they had a fancy shower.

Wow, didn't expect that Singapore's Old Changi General Hospital would be mentioned. Old Changi General Hospital has an extremely dark and morbid background. Right now that location is in such a dilapidated state that it is practically a death trap. I remember once, around the late afternoons that there were police officers and paramedics at there. I couldn't get a better look of it though when I passed by it because it would be trespassing, but hey it doesn't stop others from entering. The paramedic and police seemed to be covering something with a blue sheet of plastic. I am assuming it to be thrill seekers that end up dead or something.

I'm glad there's a lot of variety in this list. With how many horrible asylums and hospitals there are in the States alone, you could have easily made a list of hospitals/asylums from just one country. This is probably one of the most common lists done and it's almost always the same hospitals. Grats on making sure there was different asylums/hospitals on this list!

The reason Mayday hills and Aradale have such high death tolls is because you needed 7 signatures to get out even though only 2 were needed to get in, also because its where they had the worse patients that would never recover
@Evibbles9 жыл бұрын
That's awesome
@thomasgraham80358 жыл бұрын
+TayTay Preston Why would 7 signatures increase death rate? Also even if they were worse that doesn''t mean they will die. How does that affect death rate as well?
@Evibbles8 жыл бұрын
Simple the place was known as where they sent those with no hope of recovery, plus its a lot easier to convince 2 people a person is crazy than it is to convince 7 they were sane
@thomasgraham80358 жыл бұрын
TayTay Preston But just because they're hopeless or insane does not mean they will die. They'll only die because of horrible conditions or not dealing with their conditions or some certain experiments.
@Evibbles8 жыл бұрын
I've been to Aradale I know the stories, people were left in there to die be it from natural causes or not, the reason they died was because there are three ways to be "released" from the institution Cured, Escaped or Dead, very few escaped mad man's hill, and they had the lowest rate of cured patients in all Australia, people died because that's how long they stayed it wasn't treatment or disease it was being left to rot because everyone gave up on trying to treat you, they didn't care anymore

Just cause a few people are mentioning other hospitals that weren't on the list there is one close to where I live Bangour Village Hospital. It was built in 1906 and was first used as a mental asylum before being converted to treat war veterans After the war though I think it was converted back to a hospital until another "better" hospital was opened which caused Bangour to slowly close until it's complete closure in 2006 There's been several Ghost hunters that have came to the hospital as well as a movie being filmed there. Oh and a reported alien abduction. This hospital is weird af

Hey creepsmypasta :D fantastic video! I've actually been to number seven at Changi hospital as i live in Singapore and it is scary as hell! i went with two of my friends and we ended up leaving because my friend logan got sick but it was not a fun place to be, we went in the day because, well we're not idiots :P. its creepy because its just to open but it feels like you're trapped. it reminds me a lot of raffles hotel (also in Singapore) but a lot cheaper. it smells pretty normal actually but still i would not go back. hope you found this helpful... or at least entertaining :P love your vids keep up the fantastic work! :D

nik blender We felt like we were being followed as well :P but I'm an atheist I don't believe so as well as we saw stuff in the windows too! but i'm certain it was just a chair or something similar. ya know the japanese general took over singapore by literally banging his hands on a table and yelling :P glad we don't live in those times anymore. also something to find out more about is the old ford factory, it was the place of singapores surrender as well as it holds many real weapons from WWII some of which actually killed people. I found this place more chilling then Changi hospital but not as hostile :P

Man, I cannot believe you didn't include Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Louisville, KY. It was opened in 1910 and closed in 1962. It was opened for tuberculosis patients. It's been featured on many paranormal shows including "Scariest Places on Earth" and "Most Haunted". 63,000 people died there, so many that they had to use a tunnel, called the "death tunnel" and the "body chute" to shuttle bodies to the basement. There's even a movie made about this called "Death Tunnel", filmed on site. In addition to patient deaths, there were even nurse suicides and at least one infant murder. I kept expecting this one to pop up as I watched, even to be the number one, so I was disappointed it didn't even make the list. What's up with that?
