Darksaber has been my favorite lightsaber since it first appeared in the hands of Pre Vizsla. I love it's history, I love how it looks. Not to mention my favorite character is Maul, and his time as mandalorian ruler is still my favorite Star Wars storyline.

I remember someone speculated Palpatine to use a black saber before ROTS came out. In the Lego Star Wars Final Duel set, they took a spare lightsaber hilt and put it with the black cane to make a Lego Darksaber. Good times.

Really hope we can get an animated series called “Clone Wars: The Lost Chapters” or something to that effect to do stories like Dark Disciple, Son of Dathomir, Ahsoka (the book where she creates her new lightsabers), etc. Just a show to bring those kinds of stories to Disney+ for fans that haven’t read the books/comics and those that would like to see stories they’ve read in action.

Pre Viszla and Gideon weren't force sensitive, as far as we know. Yet the first one used it quite swiftly and the second one did quite well too, but not as impressive as Viszla though. I guess it's more about your state of mind, and a bit of "Mjolnir" fashion.

You make a mistake between 3:29 and 3:50. After Tarre's death, the Jedi kept the Dark Saber until Clan Vizsla regained control of it. It was not initailly passed down by generations after his death.

Nice video, but I'd have added two things: -His design somehow changed between TCW and The Mandalorian: the hilt got rounded, whereas before it had more of a rectangular shape. I'm not sure it's been explained, so I guess it's a mistake. -Since Sidious defeated Maul while Maul was wielding it, he could have claimed the blade and ruled Mandalore, which I'm surprised he didn't do tbh. And I guess that Gar Saxon, if he knew that, wouldn't have given it back to Maul. And I don't mind having more videos about this weapon, I find it quite interesting ^^.

The signature weapon of star wars is pretty much just an elongated coloured lightstick in appearance, so when the writers wanna make one that looks special, they have to get innovative, and thus far this has occurred 4 times in mainstream media: 1. Maul revealing his double-bladed saber in Episode 1 2. The Darksaber in Clone Wars 3. Kylo Ren’s crossguard saber in Episode 7 4. The helicopter-rotor spinning lightsaber used by the inquisitors to fly while looking incredibly stupid

I need the scientific reason as to why it is heavy in the hands of Din. Even if it is associated to his emotional state, how is that esoteric energy transferred to the darksaber? and then back again to Din. Does the energy emitted from the blade induce an incompatibility feedback pulse back to the user which causes a transconfiguration in his mind that makes him think it is heavier than it really is?

as far as i know lightsabers have a power setting that they can lower for training. i think the darksaber is a more focused lightsaber limiting its range but increasing its power. the crystal ISN'T Kyber which explains why it is the only canonically black lightsaber we've ever seen.
