What an INCREDIBLE list. Yukimura is a LEGEND and definitely one of my favorites, if not my favorite. Like I've said countless times, I wouldn't have gotten into Vinland Saga if I hadn't watched you rave about it haha. It's literally the best. His writing..ahh goosebumps lol. Glad to see this video man I can tell you wanted this video to see the light of day!

I dislikedBilly Bat myself. It didn't seem as well thought out as Urasawa's other series. The concept is super intersting: using real life historical events and threading one huge conspiracy theory behind them. But the execution was pretty bad. It just devolved into using popular historical events just for the sake of it. The only good I can say is that it's very original, especially with the way it ended. It felt more like an experiment for Urasawa than an actual structured story.

@@ElegeantFencer I have to disagree. Feels like, after reading other Urasawa works you've made mold of expectations in your mind. Billy bat is a little surreal compared to his other works. If you start comparing manga works from an artist youll be disappointed most of the time. Artists try hard with new things .

Great list, man. For me, my favorite manga of all time is the Naussica Valley of the Wind. I don't think I need to tell why Hayao Miyazaki is amazing, but really Naussica's manga is fantastic and really blows the movie out of the water, expanding upon the key concepts and making Naussica awesome. I will definitely check out Vinland Saga. I've heard nothing but good things about the series.

Yoshihiro Togashi is my favourite Mangaka of all time so far. Simply YYH and HxH I loved both of those series and HxH is easily my favourite Anime next to Steins;Gate and RWBY. YYH is a pure classic of a shounen series and HxH is easily the best shounen imo next to JoJo's Bizarre Advenutre which is my 2nd favourite shounen series. I love the story telling and characters easily especially when it comes to the Villains. YYH has some nice art as for HxH, not really but it can decent at times. I really gotta check out Level E. Those series are amongst the best of shounen series for me personally. I look back at the Hiatuses and don't try and think about them the man Togashi should be proud of his works.

My 1st manga was Urasawa's 20th century boys which blew my mind. A masterpiece. 2nd one i picked up was Planetes and I loved it. my 3rd Pluto and currently on vol 5. simply amazing. Thank you for the other recommendations i have a long list to look forward to.

Hirohiko Ano These are pretty much the gods of manga as a whole that everyone in Japan respects and are my personal favourites, some of their work are just sooooo close to perfection that it actually gets scary how good some of their works are

Oda is my favorite manga author ever and OP is my favorite manga of all time (OP is the series that got me into reading manga), i agree with George Morikawa, one of the best to ever do it, Ippo is so good, too bad i don't see any eng ver. so we can collect it :( I also have Takehiko Inoue at no. 2, would love to start reading Vinland Saga/Planetes!

Same I wanna get into Yukimura's and Inoue's works and Ippo. OP is good for Manga not much for the Anime tho. I personally think Naruto, Hunter x Hunter and Yu Yu Hakusho are better than OP but that's my opinion.

naoky hurasawa is GOAT at plots and how characters acts and interact, inoue is a great artist, and the stories are sick, yukimura has created my manga passion,pretty good list

some i would add if i made a list: Taiyo Matsumoto and Daisuke Igarashi for the interesting and unique way they tell their stories. Katsuhiro Otomo for Akira pretty much Osamu Tezuka: for obvious reasons. Hiroaki Samura: the way he constructs and choreographs his fight scenes is some of the best in manga. Hideaki Sorachi: for being the king of gag manga and one of my favorite comedy authors.

Apart from the top authors from your list some of my favorites include Oda and Araki for being able to keep their series' so interesting for so long and for their quality of storytelling, and Ishida for his clever writing.

Just so you know that version of One Punch man is drawn by Yusuke Murata, not ONE. The original is a Webcomic series with terrible art, just a great story. One day hopefully we learn why and how it came to be drawn by a pro despite being a relatively unknown Webcomic before that.

It was not a relatively unknown webmanga series, and the details of how it came to be drawn by Murata are pretty much all over the internet. Btw, this video is about mangaka as writers more than illustrators, I believe, because of the Tsugumi Ohba choice.

it's way too difficult to difficult to name a top 10 mangaka list. my top 3 is the same as yours (though i don't have a particular order) but going past a top 3 is so hard because there are just too many quality mangakas aside from yukimura, inoue, and urasawa. btw, i'd love to see a Planetes review.

if you want a series where togashi puts his all into the art, you should read Level E. I can't say for the whole series as i only read the first few chapters so far. Also the middle volumes of HxH has the most redraws and i think looks the best, then it drops in quality again for the chimera ant arc... everything after that besides a few chapters look fine. imo
