@@drekberg But what do you think about consumption of broccoli (sprouts) ? Dr Chaffee tells us that they're highly carcinogenic, and veggies like Broccoli are hard to digest, and also difficult to absorb nutrients from. I would love to hear your honest thoughts about this. I used to eat alot of broccoli thinking I was being healthy, but was constantly constipated, windy and felt horrible. The broccoli sprouts gave me weird ulcers on my tongue after eating it and felt stinging in my mouth right away( Low chance something else may have caused it ).

65yrs always boasted about being healthy (not sporty / slim healthy), but RARELY pick up a bug or get ill, RARELY have stomach upsets so I guess my immune system has been good, despite yo-yo dieting and years of bulimia, never exercised much except dancing. Now Inrealise i’ve been INCREDIBLY LUCKY and if I continue in the same way this will change rapidly. I’m only 5ft1 (151cm) and had got up to 73kilos (11stone 7lbs, 161 lbs) HOWEVER, my middle has widened at an alarming rate lately and undulating fat where I used to have a tight stomach, and I have skin tags popping up much more (we’re told they are inevitable with age and occur where underwear rubs etc - but as a bra wearer for nearly 50years I don’t buy that argument). Now I’ve discovered your channel and how much it makes sense, I started low carb, OMAD and am down 4kilos in the first 8 days. I’m starting a new me. THANKYOU Dr Sten. Interesting. I have RA and am very inflamed atm. I don't eat a tonne of veg, but I do eat some. My body has flared like CRAZY recently, but I've had super high stress for the past 5m. I might just do no green veg at all for a while and see if that gets me back on track. I can't even exercise atm, I have so much pain and inflammation everywhere. Been keto for nearly 2y btw and it's been brilliant for me. Need to get back to focusing on the basics as I was pretty much pain and inflammation free on keto/carnivore.

What an education since that time! I automatically fell into an intermittent fast routine without knowing. Ate when hungry (11am and 4:30-5pm) YES….first year was more difficult as I gave in to cravings about every four weeks. I didn’t keep ANYTHING in house that could be tempting. Thank you for another fantastic and informative video. Promoting a variety of real food is the best advice you can give to people. I love it when you give us an example of how can we group these foods together to get the best result simply. Like you did with your yoghurt meal with some seeds in it. Thank you for your dedication once again.

Thank you @rogerp6903. I really appreciate your feedback and so glad that you liked it. The purpose of my channel is to explain the principles and mechanisms of health in such a way that you start gaining an understanding and respect for the miracle that is the human body. I spend so much time on it because when we get "the why" and start owning the mechanisms we become empowered for life . Comments like yours makes it all worthwhile. 😄

My lentils have 47mg Mg per 100gram dry. I eat at least 225g or 8oz dry. I take one 200mg Magnesium Glycinate every day. It's cheap.

What is the difference between pepitas & pumpkin seeds? They look and taste similar, but still a bit different. Is it the type of pumpkin they come from?

@@EddieJazzFan pepitas are just Spanish (I think) for shelled and roasted pumpkin seeds. I have seen them both black and green. Not sure why. I just wanted to mention it just in case anyone wasn't aware that they also have a different name.
