My beagle learned how to open the oven door even with a child lock on it and would steal whatever was cooking in there. Roast beef was the first thing he had. He never looked back after that. Really naughty but hilarious. Played games with him, like hiding his favourite treats around the house and we’d say ‘go find it’ kept him busy for a while, he could open the back door to get in the garden, couldn’t close it though 😂 and he loved going for a drive in the car. He only lived till he was 6, because he suffered seizures which was awful to watch and felt so helpless. He never recovered from the last one he had. I had his papers, with his bloodline, KC registered and I met both his parents who were show dogs not hunting dogs. Trusted that he was a healthy dog. Still, loved him dearly and forever in my heart ❤️

Most beagles have slow metabolisms that make them gain weight easily. Also they are very food motivated, so people are advised to use treats for training. Everybody wants to keep their pups healthy, but it's difficult with beagles. It's not such a simple issue.

I have a pocket beagle he is 10 weeks old, I was told with beagles you have to watch out how much food you give them, because beagles are always hungry. Don't feed them with human food. You want your best friend to be healthy!

Thumbs up for the beagles! I own one, he will be 3 years old on April 1He is my heart and soul. He's the best dog I've ever owned. And so smart and sneaky! His name is Napoleon Wigglebottom Picklemeister. He understand our commands, all in German. I just get him to stop eating some of the things he should NOT eat, like the cats' poop the yard1 But he's on Trifexis, has 2 checkups a year, shots, nails trimmed, the works. My special boy. I never liked kids, really DISLIKE children so much, so I made it clear from a long time ago that there would be NOT grandchildren, so my mom and dad have treated him like he's their 'grandog,' and he is, and HE love it. I love hp.//////////////////1 99T of the people we meet say he's such a great looking dob.
