It’s not all made of wood but I love how the “good” pieces in Spirit Island are made of wood whilst then”bad” pieces are made out of plastic! 😀

The game you call Bonk is very similar to a game called Birkball that I first played 20-25 years ago. The Birkball website now shows tables for 4 players; the goal and goalie are on one corner and the wingman is on the other corner. The table we used at work during lunch breaks was for 6 players; the goal and goalie were in the middle, with a wingman on either corner.

Thank you - wife is currently purchasing Shuffle Puck. Please, consider adding these to your list: 1. Raft and Scupper. A wonderful delight, and a real brain burner. Ethically made. 2. Mijnlieff (original, not the horrible Bagstract version). Played with muliltiple copies. Easy, deep, portable, terrific. 3. Tak. We had a custom set made, as we were blown away by this one. One of the best games ever made. 4. Quarto and/or Quixo. Super easy games and surprisingly deep. Quarto comes as a travel version, too.

Can't really argue against any of your choices. Being Canadian, I have always had a bias for Crokinole... and now another that didn't make your list but did make your shelf... Catacombs. I'm guessing that the reason it didn't make the list is due to the neoprene mats?

A pedant might ask whether pretty much all games aren't made of wood, since they pretty much all contain paper of some sort, if only for the rule book or the box. Anyway, next topic: Top 10 Games That Gave Me Wood. (But please no playthroughs.)

“We’ve got a really good board. It’s in the garage”! I know what quality of games end up in MY garage.
@BoardGameBollocks4 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately my wife won’t let me store the larger wooden games anywhere else and I don’t blame her - theyd end up taking over. There’s no room left in the games room so it’s stored there. Crap games end up at the charity shop.

I make 200 wooden games and donate them to children with terminal cancer. I've been doing this now for 13 years. Anyway I'm looking for wood games that are single player, ages 5 to adult and will fit on a hospital table. So please if you have any ideas I would surely appreciate it.
