Ropes start looking odd over 5mm. At 7mm, you are better with something else. I wear a 3.5mm on my neck and a 5.5mm on my wrist (both white gold). And I regret buying the bracelet. I wish I would have done a Franco for the bracelet. Now, smaller ropes are great, and they are amazing in 18k or higher purity. Franco’s are the best for smaller, heavier chains, and the Miami Cuban are awesome for big chains, but the nice thick ones cost a fortune. The rope is ideal in high karat, with a Franco being great at every size, and the Miami Cuban for massive chains. If you want to look big, go with the “flat” curb chains. They can look seriously big. In general, if you go gold, go 18k or higher though. It just hits better. For white, it does not matter (they all look the same). Rose gold is perfect at 14k and not bad at 10k, but a smaller 21k or 22k yellow chain looks so much better than a fat 10k washed out yellow.

14k 8.8g for 1k ($1000.00) wow for a basic design is the best idea of price gouging or just simply blood sucking Or a 14k rope 30g for 3k is unrealistic or 6k for a 70g miami cuban is still very high but 4k uis a fairer price. 8.8k or 7k for the 102g rope is bad. Max would say "what the hell is this Zales Jeweler?" Crazy the mark up for gold that cost $30-$40 per gram get converted or marked up to $80-$100 per gram, so now you pay double. So answer me this, What is the absolute fair or real or reasonble cost for gold? And, What if the customer provides their own 14k gold in order to have a custume chain made, say a cuban chain?
