I would not call Audrey's singing "less than stellar", she just didn't have the right vocal range for that particular role. Her singing voice was quite lovely, as shown in Sabrina, BAT and Funny Face. Also, Two for the Road is such an underrated movie, I love the progression of the characters in the story and Audrey's performance was marvelous.

They were her most daring films and she gave some of her best and shocking moments!! Not to say I’ve ever disliked any of her films, maybe the one where she tried to play half native in a western, but otherwise, for the small filmography she has, she sure left an impact!!!! 🥰💋💍🌟🥂🎟🎬💜

Her appearance was phenomenal, but the movie itself wasn’t her best. The plot had a bunch of holes, as in why would Sabrina leave a hunk like David for an old man like Linus? His character was bland and boring, while Sabrina was someone who had potential in being carefree and spontaneous. Plus the ending was rushed and dreadfully put together, but that was hugely because bogie was an absolute pain to work with.

Breakfast At Tiffany’s is my favorite Audrey Hepburn movie .. a little known fact is that author of the Roman a clef Truman Capote did not want Hepburn to have the role his choice was Marilyn Monroe.. T.C was probably on drugs for wanting M.M. for the role of Holly. If M.M. wud hv played that role, she wud hv come out as a cheap tart, and audiences wud hv immediately labeled her as a sleazy prostitute. Thanks to Audrey, that the persona came out as a "girl living out of her wits". One wud be too discreet to label her a call girl. Besides what call girl has the elegance of Audrey???
@louisgonzalez88467 ай бұрын
Cant imagine T.Capote wanting M.M. to play that role. Since in the novel he writes her as a skinny girl who walks fast and straight. And M.M. is quite far from being skinny. He probably was on drugs or alcohol to have made such contradictury remarks.!!!

Her character is smart and has an interesting bond with her father. The Nun's Story drags you through everything she goes through, and that ending is ... devastating. No sound or dialogue for the last few minutes. I brushed away the hype and truly respected her work after that. Two For The Road is an honorable mention. I respected Albert Finney's work after that. Charade is such a good film. It's one of my favorites. That whole scene where she screams just to get cary grant's attention. The children's hour is a film exceedingly ahead of it's time. Funny face made me love fred astaire and remember to think pink. As for Holden she and William would have an affair to remember. William was willing to leave his wife and kids for her. Unfortunately he was unwilling to have kids with her which was a deal breaker. William would then develop a drinking problem at the loss of her love.
@chiensyang3 жыл бұрын
When I first saw Charade, I thought it was a Hitchcock movie. Of course I was wrong. However, this also showed how great Alfred Hitchcock was because his style was copied to produce this movie which turned out to be great. About William Holden, his drinking problem started at the beginning of his career (in 1930s) to combat his shyness in front of the camera. By the time when Sabrina was filmed in 1950s, his drinking problem was already set in.
