Gray Jacobsen thank you man! I’m super proud of that song 💙
@jnb7564 жыл бұрын
@@CharlieRobbins it has my favorite 5 notes in it that you have ever strung together - and that obviously is saying a lot because everything you write if not completely impressive is completely more impressive. The 5 notes i mean are played for the first time at 1 minute and 3 seconds in Coco. I mentally have termed it "Dichotomy Conformity" - I have always wanted to ask you what made you choose those notes? Any other place in any other song and they would just be nothing, maybe even over looked - it was like the only place those 5 notes in sequence would ever properly fit - anywhere - ever. They are so random, absolute madness compared to the rest of the song, but you repeat them several times each time just blows my mind. They take and add so much to that song. I know I am going a little overboard here but 5 notes in a song with so many unique and strong phrasings should not wield that kind of power in my head. Do you know why or have a story behind those or were they just something that fit and you went with it? Thank you again for shaking up the guitar world in your little corner of the world that really should be much much bigger.

Charlie, your work is on par with the best in the biz. It is truly a shot in the hope center to know that REAL virtuosity isnt going to take a nap yet. I want to use some of your pieces in my musical expression/motivation sessions that I teach in my work as a clinical and recovery supports educator. My class will be enthusiastic to see more from you. I'm helping people build passion back in their lives after the horrors of addiction and trauma have started to pass. I think that you would be a great addition to the experience. If that's ok.
